Just a quick video showing the operations of the Kubota Low boy pro gl14000 generator. I purchased this generator locally at Scherer Kubota in Victoria Tx.
I sure did. Told the sales guy I only knew about the generator because of your video. They’re about 2 hours away from me but figured I would give them the business. Great review I’ve been looking for something like this.
that is a nice unit and with your other kubota equipment it sure is easy and nice too get to use same filters, fluids, and other parts like there tractors wich kubotas makes there products more simpple and smart design and easy wich other brands have to travvel different locations for parts and things wich why love kubotas and they make pretty good sence
yeah sure is and it uses the same tractor engine parts wich makes maintance and repairs so much easyer oher brands have to used different parts wich have to go 100 diferent stores for parts
nice beast im looking into buying a kubota gl11000 for my house wich is nice and best thing it uses same tractor engine parts wich is nice and same features that came from there kubota tractors plus nice thing there feul tank anti theft protection with lock on it wich smart because feul thefts are around and no other brand doesnt have itand they do sound nice wich its there good reliable tractor engine
Thank you for the video. 3600 is getting it for a diesel. I know it’ll serve you well. I lean towards the 1800 rpm for constant/long term use during an outage. Something to entertain.
What is the running rpm under 75% load ? I want a inverter that runs no more the 1800 rpm and a smart throttle so that it’s rpm is only for enough. I don’t want it running for just a 60 watt bulb. So let me know?
My apologies, can you tell me caster wheel stem diameter and pitch. I'm assuming it's metric. After searching through the schematics online I can't find the specifications anywhere ? Excellent video ! Any information on specs is greatly appreciated.
Very interesting. And very Informative. Question, Would this supply enough power for a 2100 sf house in Florida including a 4 Ton a/c with a variable speed air handler. 20 seer unit. What's your feeling? Would it be enough? Also fuel consumption under this type of load per hour? That's. I'm ready to pull the trigger on one if it's sufficient.
I think it would no problem. I have two 4 ton 20 seer on my house and it handles fine. Prob burn 1/2 gallon hour. I have another video on my channel pulling load on my house
Can this unit be set up for a fully automatic whole hous generator which comes on automatically star when the power goes out and does this have 3 cylinder Kubota motor ?
Came back to this video and you sure are right about the noise, I tried to get a video of how quiet my 1800RPM Generac is, and its impossible. Video just makes it seems so loud
@@RockyRohde I assume its a 3600 air cooled? The liquid cooled 1800 units are much, much quieter. My neighbor has one and when both our generators are running all I can hear is his, not mine
I was thinking it would be a 1800 rpm generator, That’s the only thing that I don’t like about it. Do you know what engine they used? D1105 I’m thinking.
We're looking to buy one of these for our home as well-- Cannot decide between the 11KW & the 14KW-- What was your RPM on this 14KW? Thanks for the great footage..
@@RockyRohde Reviewing the 14KW at Northern Tool thiseveing for a cost of just over $11K.. Can you tell me how many cylinders? I'm guessing (2) Cyl? My only hangup with this is the High RPM and Noise Level.. ( im kinda stuck on that )
@@RockyRohde last question:) What is the hole for the threaded stem on the gl14000 ? 3/4 ? Just ordered the gl14000 after watching your video ! Thanks again!
It adjust by percentage. If you set volt it will maintain. Higher voltage less amperage… If you ram a 250ft cord you can increase voltage at the unit to compensate for voltage drop..
@@petermashak3341 yeah all that is understood but why the hell would kubota choose to engineer, produce, and market something so nice but only use a two pole alternator which in my opinion is a crutch because it’s going to be more noisy burn more fuel have shorter maintenance intervals and have half the life expectancy.
@@lesgray3355 I was thinking the same thing, my guess is because to get that hi of a kw rating in a small enclosure they probably used the Kubota d1105 engine, and @ 1800 rpm it would not be enough power. My light tower uses the D1105 engine at 1800 rpm and it’s only rated for 6kw. And I have a another Kubota d1105 engine that came out of a front cut mower that I’m building my own generator with, that is directly coupled to a 10kw generator Head and with testing it drops about 2hz with 8kw load on it. So it’s out of its power band. Sorry for the rambling on, just my 2 cents.
@@lesgray3355 They run this generators in the oil fields and have 20,000 hours on them and they are still running fine these engines even at 3600 are very hard to kill if you maintain them
Woah... it's a 3,600rpm screamer. I though all diesel gensets were 1,800rpm? Show us that big foot in the corner! [ok I checked out the bigfoot but I'm deaf now after seeing it has a screamin' jimmy under the hood!]
I know i wouldnt buy a caterpiller one wich they were rediculas what they wanted for cat 10,000 watt stationed generator wich they wanted rediculas $36,900 for it and the kubota gl11000 11,000 watts was ten times cheaper wich my dealer wanted $8,600 wich desent cheap affordable price better then cats
