New guy here in the world of tractors and potentially a future customer. I’ve learned a whole lot from watching your videos...you’re doing a great job. So much so that I’m definitely giving you a visit next year when I’m getting my equipments for a five acres farm I wanna start overseas.
Love your channel. Discovered it a few months back and been hooked. Your LX videos are the bulk of the research I did on the tractor. I should be getting one sometime at the end of this month for 10 acres I’m buying-I’m super excited!!
Another good video! I took delivery of my LX 2610 a couple weeks ago. Even though I am not in your area, your videos were a big part of why I chose my tractor. Thanks for the info and I am beyond pleased with my tractor!
@@heathdetweilerRealtor Hi Heath, I really love this tractor, I have had no problems with mine. I live in Texas and the AC keeps the cab nice and cool. If you do purchase this tractor I recommend the front and rear work lights, they are very bright, it’s almost like working in daytime. I also recommend the third function remote for the loader it opens a whole new world of attachments like grapples and such. Another tip. If you want a radio DO NOT have the dealer install it, they will charge you 300.00 or 400.00 for it. I purchased my radio from Messicks online for right at 100.00 and they have a video on how to install it. The cab comes with speakers and an antenna pre-wired. Installation takes 5 minutes. Let me know if you have any questions. Brad Starkes
Very nice tractors. Those R14 tires look good! In my experience the R4 tires are not very good in snow. They seem adequate in other uses, except heavy mud. The R1 ag tires are wonderful in mud and fields, and are also good in snow. With chains are good in the woods. For 25 years, I had one 2wd tractor without a loader with R1 tires and was very happy. I added a small 2wd tractor with turf tires and a 60” belly mower and was happier for 10 years. So at 35 years I traded both in on a big new 4wd tractor and loader with R1 ag tires. I also bought a new medium sized 4wd tractor and loader with R4 tires for different uses. I also bought a new commercial zero turn mower and reduced my mowing time by half. Now I can really get some work done, but I am all beat up from working so hard in the past. Make sure you first tractor has a loader and is 4wd.
Even in light mud R4 tires can have issues, especially if there is a slope of some kind. I've had to get a good run up to go up some slightly muddy hills in an R4 equipped TLB that a similar size tractor with AG tires took just fine.
BlackHawkBallistic That is very interesting. Was the tractor 4wd, and shifted into 4wd? I worry that they are just quite barely better than turf tires. On my larger tractor, the front tires are up to my waist and are R1 ag tires. that tractor does everything with authority, like a bull walking along.
9:15 the steep trailer ramp is easy to fix with some wood on the bottom of the ramps. what you need to know ( and no-one mentions) about the backhoe being plumbed into the main hydraulic loop is : if you unplug the backhoe when taking it off you need to plug the backhoe hydraulic line back into the return line so you don't blow up your hydraulic pump.
I had a customer come to the shop with l4701 and no hydraulic function was working I look at the backhoe quick coupler and it was disconnected you could ear the relief valve hissing that relief valve will save your pump
I'm very happy with the R14 tires on my 6 week-old LX2610HSDC. I find them to be not bad on turf as long as I don't make really sharp turns. I need them more for their ability to unload packed snow during the winter. They have been used for a couple years in Canada and the response up there has been fantastic. Much better snow and ice tires with aggressive enough tread for my frequent work in the woods. My old BX1860 with turf tires was a spinning, sliding beast blowing snow. I don't mow with my tractor so that might be an area where they'd be too aggressive. LOVE my new LX2610!
@@countrymorgan2942 Here in northern Michigan (Baja Ontario), 70% of the new LXs were ordered with R14s. I'd have to wait a month or two for anything but that or R4s.
hey Neil, im a JD at my heart but i still love your vids and i get to learn more about tractors. and just the way yall do it is amazing. and i dont see a big bias. good job!
I was really hoping this model would have the option to separate the 3 point from the mower deck lift. Having to pin the deck up to use the 3 point is probably my number one complaint about my B2650HSDC.
Good afternoon, my question is why wouldn’t Kubota for a LX model cabbed tractor do a 3 split rear window for operation of a backhoe version? That way you can use the single seat instead of using a second seated unit. Plus you can have access to all in cab controls and be able to lift front bucket to push forward while using the backhoe...
I'm confused about your statement at round 4:08 in the video that the MSL option also includes some kind of "hydraulic relief valve" that allows the bucket cylinders to move in/out as the FEL arms move up and down. It's my understanding that a "mechanical self leveling" feature on a FEL is 100% accomplished by changing the location of the bucket cylinder's mounting position on the boom arms. In other words, it’s a geometry thing accomplished with the additional MSL bars.
@@countrymorgan2942 Ah! That makes a whole lot of sense. I've seen people complain about a "locked up" MSL FEL that they couldn't lower to the ground. It was really "pilot error" since they fully dumped the bucket at max eight, but did not roll the bucket back before lowering the boom. Kudos to Kubota for addressing this potential issue proactively.
Another great video Neil.... I'm way over here in Far North Queensland Australia and have watched hours of your Kubota vids..... learnt heaps too. So g'day from me, and keep up the good work.
Hey Neil. Thanks for sharing a "fully loaded" LX2610 with us. I'm still trying to decide just what I want, and it would be a lot of help if you could toss out some ballpark prices on some of these things. Obviously all those addons are going to raise the price, but is that now a $30k tractor or a $40k tractor or what?
I've been noticing, that "by the numbers" (as you've explained in videos in the past), the loaders on several of the B and LX series tractors of today have higher lift capacities by 20% or so, than my L2800 from 2009 (LA435 loader). Did they upgrade all the loaders, or is this another one of those things where "specs" turned out to be better so they just changed the numbers?
Those right angle hard lines on the boom for the loader hoses seem to be in a very vulnerable position. Seems like something that could easily develop cracks.
I have a tractor of a different brand that has similar metal plumbing. Something hit and really bent them - couldn’t believe they didn’t rupture. Still fine a year later.
Neil, can you address the concerns about transmission whine noise and more importantly, jerkiness and surging experienced by others with new LX transmission?
all hydrostatics whine. 99% sure any jerkiness is group think or a few people who keep echo the same thing. At the very least its the same transmission that was used in the B3350 (and possibly longer). If there was a problem we'd have heard about it years ago.
So I have a LX2610 coming with the BH77 ( sorry in Indiana or would been dealing with you for sure !) shopping for trailer , do you think a 2foot dovetail with 5foot ramps generally going to work for loading ?
I replaced a trailer and am very impressed with the design and workmanship of my new trailer. Check out Iron Bull trailers by Northstar from Texas. My trailer is a 20 foot trailer and has a 3 foot self-cleaning dovetail and 2 foot 3 position spring lift “rampage” ramps. The ramps stabilize the rear of the trailer and the load angle is very flat for a full height trailer. I use the trailer regularly in my business and am very grateful that I listened to the salesman about this line of trailers being better than others, especially for ease of use. The cost was only less than 10% more than the usual rough built trailer. I have an old spinal injury and appreciate the easy use of this trailer. The company has good videos on RU-vid.
Very nice tractor but tell me does the LX3310 have bad transmission whine like the LX 2610. I have seen videos on the LX2610 cab tractor and the whine was too much!!
simple, durable old tractor. I'd suspect its at the age that parts support is starting to fade. www.tractordata.com/farm-tractors/005/9/2/5923-ford-1120.html
Wow, you are getting your money’s worth from that tractor! I had a 1220 with a belly mower and nearly wore out the engine so it had lost 20% of its power, but it could be rebuilt easily. Traded it in 2 years ago in December. It was always stored inside and needed only an oil change. Amazingly, the dealer sold it in 2-3 days. The new owner will probably run it another 20 years!
3/8-18 NPT male. I got my grapple diverter hoses made at my local CarQuest. My tractor is a new LX2610HSDC so my 3rd function kit is exactly like the one in this video.
man i wish i had that self leveling loader on my b2601. i do mostly pallet work and with the forks i have my line of vision to get them through a pallet is pretty much nil.
Hey Neil... I have a 2017 Kubota B2650 w/50 hrs on that I may need to install a "Center Mower Deck" on... My 2010 Husqvarna GTH27H2752LS Garden Tractor w/470 hrs has been giving me starting trouble and becoming a nuisance for me! Most probably would be interested in a 60 inch deck... any ideas or suggestions? Please advise and Thanks Much~Mike...
You may wish to consider a different option. I had a comparably sized tractor with a 60 belly mower that did a great job for quite a few years. Without getting into details, I went to a 52” zero turn and cut my mowing time by half, plus it makes everything look better and is fun. After 2 seasons I want a larger zero turn to further reduce mowing time.
Question for everybody: when I bought my B2650 in 2018 I got it with 3rd function hydraulic because i had plans on buying a snow plow for FEL and adding hydraulic angling or maybe just building it all together. Plus I had other ideas. Anyways 4 years later and i have never used it. Is there anything I can do or should do to maintain it and keep it in working order? Can it start to stick and go bad from not being used? This is my 2nd tractor but its the 1st that has 3rd function hydraulics.
Neil, I've been advised that if you get the backhoe you need the subframe for it....which is understood. My question is, does the bagger work if you get the backhoe/subframe? I've been told that it won't work and causing me to look at alternative methods of bagging. Just trying to find the best/simplest way to install/remove a bagger for the appropriate season. Thanks in advance!!
@@MessicksEquip TerraKing TKV20 way to go? I know I will need the Kubota boot, but does the TKV20 attach directly to the Kubota 3-point hitch on the LX2610?
@@micahp1615 Good thought. They don't certify the TKV on any model but a BX.. however I don't see why it would not work just fine on many other tractors with some effort.
@@MessicksEquip I've been in contact via email with a Rep from TerraKing and they advised me that it will work with the LX2610 w/ Cab. Not sure if it attaches directly to Kubota 3-Point Hitch or if an implement is needed to connect. The videos I've seen had a LandPride implement in between the machine & TKV20.....almost like an upside down u shape extension of some sort?
@@micahp1615 Correct. Usually your going to put a 3pt quick hitch between the tractor and bagger. Its not required, but makes attaching it to the tractor way easier. If you would like to order, call 800-222-3373, opt 1 and ask for April.
While I love the hard lines on the front of the OEM Kubota 3rd function kits for the LX series, has anyone tried running them? The routing isn't difficult but I cannot them to mount inside the loader arm with the provided tube stays and bolts for the life of me. If anyone knows the secret to this I would greatly appreciate it!
Huge fan of this formfactor. I think people have gone way too big with these monster tractors they use today as the vehicles can they barely support their massive weight. Anyhow John Deere has suddenly moved in down here in South Carolina as they are not going to let this market which Kubota dominates simply go unchallenged. Never had more fun ever than driving a Kubota side by side sawing down trees, making logs and splitting the wood. Best in the Industry by far and an embarrassment to the John Deere Gator.
Arcadiy Ivanov tractor with loader special was about 21k, backhoe with subframe 8750. I didn’t get the cab, instead I opted for a grapple and a FEL mounted post hole digger. 72” mower is 3500 and 60” is 2700. No idea on the bagger. The extra hydraulics are 800 or so each.
Accessary is- a legal term which means someone who aids another in committing a crime. An accessory is - an object or device that is not essential in itself but adds to the beauty, convenience, or effectiveness of something else. Why does everyone on RU-vid get this wrong, different spelling, different word, different meaning. A-cess-ary. Ack-ces-ory.
