At the outset I thank the entire group for making such a nice presentation. In South, there is one carnatic music exponent, Shri G S Mani Iyer who is carrying out a similar mission, for the so many decades,to bring film songs lovers close to various ragas in carnatic music. Here in Maharashtra Mr Mukund Phansalkar, along with others is doing it Today Mr. Mani iyer may be around 86 years of age He was woking as an assistant to a music director in Tamil film industry called late M S Viswanathan.. Iyer use to go back to songs of films of 1940s..... Your selection of songs based on rag pahadi brought back memories of mid sixties, like the one Jo wadha kiya, woh...
