Sonakshi isnt as strong and as emotionally independant and as patient as she used to be in the the first two seasons, which is my guess as to why Erica left the show and i agree with her analysis and how as an actor it must be frustrating for her to see her character's journey leading to ultimately her becoming weaker and more desperate and impatient, if anything, i understand sonakshi is a mom now and there are certain things when it comes to your kids that you cannot be strong and patient about no matter what but for some reason it just doesnt feel like the strong, brave and patient sonakshi we knew in past seasons: the way she used to deal with problems in the first season, with patience and bravery was really admirable now she has just become weak and much more emotionally dependant on Dev basically she has slightly kind of become the Dev in season 1, season 1 sonakshi would have never warned sanjana the way she did after she realized she had proposed to dev. thats the thing, the makers of the show just added certain things for the drama of it all and therefore the realism and subtlty of the show that was there in the first two seasons was completely lost. Although, its not like i hate this season at all. In fact, i love the fact that they showed couples therapy and that relationships along with love also require a strong foundation of trust and being able to make time for each other and keep making the effort because you are not always going to feel like you are IN love with your partner and you need to make the effort to keep the love alive.
