Kugoo Kirin S1 scooter ERROR 40 REPAIR. Also brake/screen/throttle/battery/control box repair guide 

Found error 43 solution! Firstly thanks for this great video! It got me started fixing a problem I had. The "Kugoo Kirin S1" seems to be exactly the same scooter as the "i-bike mono jet" or "ibike mono jet" which is released in Italy and sold, amongst other places over Amazon. (Deliberately adding this info, perhaps change the title of your video as it will help ibike users too, like it helped me!) Error 43 is an error in one of the 5 connections from the top display down to the Controller for the DC brushless motor. I fixed a cable break in a broken unit i bought and kept getting the error, so I took a second unit i have that is fault free and swapped out part for part to verify the parts. (And thank you again this video helped a lot!) I noticed that the connector from the controller to the cable that runs up its quite cheap.. You push it in and very easily 1 of the 5 pins on either side of the clip pushes backwards making 1 or more connections to either not connect or connect only partially. Easy fix.. Push cables into the plug fold.. Same on other end.. And carefully push both sides together.. Might need an attempt or two but after that error gone. If you are sure this connector is perfectly connected then the second cause could be a cable break in the cable running through the neck down.. Considdering 2 out of 3 units i have had cables breaks because prior owners roughly put the handlebars in catching the wire or plug. Can't be 99% sure BUT I'm a 100% sure it is not the battery, break, back light etc.as i tested all those parts seperately between the units. Hope that helps some people Tim

yes yes, when it started to get interesting, the camera stopped working :D ....but well, "error 40" is indeed a fault with the brake lever and fixing it can be a bit tricky (if it's not should be a simple contact error or a broken cable). The continuously adjustable braking effect is achieved with a "linear Hall sensor" (type: 49E 0028G), which was set between 2 magnets. Depending on how close they come to the sensor, its output voltage changes and regulates the braking effect. The whole thing is a bit cheaply constructed. For example, all three legs of my scooter's sensor were sheared off by the constant mechanical shocks and I had to solder new legs in a rather difficult operation and then cast the entire structure in synthetic resin (to prevent renewed damage). The assembly of the part is a bit tricky, because you always have to pay attention to the spring. After about 10 minutes of swearing, I succeeded and everything works like new again. If you're lucky, it's just a simple contact problem, if not, you need to be skilled.

Hi review city, I’m cerious if you know how to take apart the front wheel on these things, I’ve been struggling to take apart the front wheel and forks because certain screws are proper tight and even with the right allen I cannot take it apart. I have brought a kugoo es2 for a Christmas present I took it out the box built and charged it. When going out for a test drive on it I noticed the accelerator would stick and carry on running. It's under warranty but tbh if I can get the whole handle bar stem I will just keep the faulty one as a spare. Have you seen handle bars or stems for sale I've looked on the kugoo official and geek buying with zero luck

When I hit a numb in the road my scooter either terns off completely or slows dow the s other to a stop and bleeps a lot bleeping 04. What can I do to fix this?

To fix brake y have to remote the brake to dissamble it , pay attention to the mechanic spring inside y ll have three pin which make short circuit then y have to add a bit of tin on each pin and assemble again the error 40 ll be fixed

These scooters are not good for usage every day, the suspension on it is not good enough for every day usage, it's really bad for your knees. Unless you're not going more than a mile to the shops daily then it's fine, any further it's bad for your knees.
