This is the first time I've heard them address why Harry left and Jay returned but it doesn't really clear it up. If the reason was that Harry couldn't do a tour, then Jay would be filling in for a while. But it seems Jay has permanently returned. Seems like Harry has been unceremoniously dumped after more than 15 years. Did they just sack him? If so it's a bit harsh. I'm really glad to see Jay back because he should have been back from the start, but looks like Harry has been hard done by. Maybe they will never reveal the full details.
I know what you mean, it's side-stepped to tell only half the story. I remember Harry eventually posted something on his personal Twitter (?) around the time of the transition. I can't remember exactly, something to the effect of 'I couldn't make the US tour, I'm alive and well, thanks for all the well-wishers'... But that must have come after dozens of enquires from the hardcore fans who've enjoyed Harry's input since 2007 and were genuinely concerned for him.
