After a period of 111 days without concerts due to the Coronavirus in the Concertgebouw, Lucas (27) & Arthur (23) Jussen were the first ones to play an official concert in this beautiful hall. This memorable recording was made possible by the Bankgiroloterij series in cooperation with the Tanglewood Music Festival. In this video the Jussen brothers perform a piece by Hanna Kulenty called 'VAN'.

Just heard them play this in concert in La Jolla California Jan 25 2024. Incredible guys!!!! They don't sound like 2 people playing a piano; they sound like one person who has 20 fingers!

Volgende week ga ik voor de 4de keer naar een concert van deze 2 geweldige pianisten! Ik luister elke dag naar een concert van hen en ik geniet er elke dag weer van! Deze muziek is even mooi als boeiend en ook weer wondermooi geïnterpreteerd door Lucas en Arthur! Dankjewel kerels!

Interesting piece: a peaceful and reflective sort of contemporary beginning that fuses into a very exciting rhythmical, percussive, intense, and sort of magical middle section that builds up to a nervous and passionate climax to end again with the same peaceful and reflective introduction... This could perfectly be the soundtrack of a movie; a fantasy movie, maybe?... I enjoyed it. Impeccable interpretation. Bravi!!
