Nice analyses! Since I started to prospect for gold in Finnish Lapland i discovered that you can almost find gold in any layers even the topsoil, I witness pickers 10 cm below surface. My conclusion is that there are very limited of rules concerning where the gold has gathered, although it sometimes follows the book how gold usually behaves, like inner bends and so on. Take for instant, the goldminers that digs on the highest peaks in Kuttura region... shouldn't the gold be in the gorges and deep in the valleys following the old ancient rivers? I heard that in Finnish Lapland the ice didn't sorted the layers and the gold like some of the other northen gold rich countries, who knows, just speculation from my side of the perspective😊
Exactly, I have been very cautious not to toss the topsoils away for the reason of "just in case". Maybe the separation of the topsoils and the bottom layers into two different sluicing samples would be an act of research next time.
