Step into the world of "Kumasi," an uplifting and mystical journey inspired by the ancient lands and legends of Kumasi. We've used the balafon, djembe, kalimba, kora, and an African choir, along with the melodic sounds of the fula flute to create a cinematic soundscape. 🍃✨
Kumasi, the heart of the Ashanti Kingdom in Ghana, is rich with history and cultural heritage, known for its vibrant festivals and folklore. As always guys, thank you so much for the continued support and for listening! If you have any suggestions or ideas, we always love to hear them. We hope you enjoy the journey to the heart of Kumasi! 🪘🐪🌴🛖

The transition from beautiful tranquility and peace to that action reminds me of a beautiful sunset and the adventure that follows.

I've been looking for mood music for a pathfinder campaign set in the setting's equivalent of Sub-Saharan Africa. This list will prove invaluable to set the mood.

I really love your music, it seems fantastic and at the same time familiar. I live in Central Asia, where there are also a lot of ancient cities with rich history (such as Samarkand). I guess their story and culture can serve as inspiration for you to create new music

Was waiting for you to do something African inspired! I will admit, a bit too "exciting" in places, I was hoping for more "ambience", but still pretty awesome

One the one hand i really appreciate the fact that you got interested in Africa and decided to dedicate a piece to it. On the other hand this music does not feel to me very connected with West African music and the Ashanti culture… The drums and chants in the opening track are more reminiscent of Southern/Eastern Africa, I don’t hear any typical instruments such as the xekere calabash rattle, agogo bell, ahoco, nor any instruments from neighbouring lands such as the balafon and kora, and there are no lyrics in Akan languages… Then it’s just generic « Middle Eastern » music, that *could* have been more adapted for, say, Timbuktu (or not). It would have been really cool if you had done the research a bit better into how Ashanti music sounds like and produced something analog as a tribute :( For the record, this is what epic Ashanti music is supposed to sound like in my understanding : ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Dr0cP80Jl_A.html Other tracks of typical Ashanti music : ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-TdPjPEl1fUg.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-x2sK71hPUb0.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-JE51NhwsQgs.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-K0Ke9MpTihE.html (by the way, i also feel that the art is wrong ;) African cities and palaces were wide open spaces featuring multiple courtyards and galeries, without any above-ground floors, and that is because the buildings were built of dried mud, not of stone, see old images here www.google.com/search?q=ancient+kumasi+city&sca_esv=9808eceaba48aaa9&sca_upv=1&udm=2&biw=1517&bih=685&sxsrf=ADLYWIJ_VglKPDTob3AIcDu26v5QGADwAA%3A1718712030804&ei=3nZxZubZMNumhbIPi6CqkAU&ved=0ahUKEwjmwMSgjeWGAxVbU0EAHQuQClIQ4dUDCBA&uact=5&oq=ancient+kumasi+city&gs_lp=Egxnd3Mtd2l6LXNlcnAiE2FuY2llbnQga3VtYXNpIGNpdHkyBRAAGIAEMgYQABgHGB4yBhAAGAcYHjIGEAAYBxgeMgQQABgeMgQQABgeMgQQABgeMgQQABgeMgQQABgeMgQQABgeSIEMUMcFWI8LcAF4AJABAJgB9wGgAZwJqgEFMC40LjK4AQPIAQD4AQGYAgGgAg6YAwCIBgGSBwExoAfJAg&sclient=gws-wiz-serp )
