Kumbaya by ZNCCO 

Although the rhythm sounds African, Kumbaya was actually first recorded in the United States, making it an African-American song. Here, MIWC Zambia’s National Christian Choir and Orchestra performs the song, which is believed to have been first sung by a man from the southeastern United States, known as H. Wiley. Kumbaya is often translated as “Come By Here” in the creole Gullah language. Although not widely sung in Zambia, its Christian lyrics and African sound make it a memorable one. #miwczambia #zncco #kumbaya
