Iv never seen anyone put a Dart and a Hammer Ball on the other side of the rope, is there a reason not too? I wanted to make one of these but with both, a dart and a hammer. On a 15 foot rope, and one foot steel chain on both sides, so if i catch the dart and hammer on fire, the rope wont burn. Any ideas?
Scott K that’s a great idea i thought about it but didn’t had time to try it out but you’ should add a chain with the hammer then put it on fire , otherwise the rope will get on fire
you have to be really tall to handle 15 foot rope ;) otherwise you'll hit it to the ground and it's dangerous. usually sheng biao is the length of arm span times two. (or 2x your length). dart and hammer idea should work, just hold the hammer on your left palm. i guess no need to tie it to wrist then. steel chain in the end is fantastic idea! i have to try this out too.
@@maxzhao8331 I haven't trained with this weapon... years ago during my adventure in Italy (which is documented on my channel, if you look for it), I had the chance to do full contact weapon sparring versus someone using a metoer hammer made just like that, but I "chickened" out, or chose not to take anymore chances, I'd already done tonfa and tomahawk sparring and guan dao sparring... I have found footage of it in action, it's in this awesome compilation (at some point, there's every practically every kung fu weapon you can imagine pressure tested, inclding the whip) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-okoC7PKnWeE.html
Great video! I take a lot of inspiration from martial arts for my fitness training, would be good to get some opinions from you on my channel if you have the chance. I've subscribed to your channel, keep going
