He made a lot of mistakes and blame others but himself. K1 may have been a callous person but this drummer left and came back saying he didn't know anything else to do. He should hold himself accountable for his misfortune
A time will soon come that allegations like these will not just be swept under the carpet but taken up legally. Mr Kunle is really pained and only God can justify him. Mr Kunle deserves justice. Wasiu Ayinde, like Mr Kunle said has amassed such a great wealth as well acquired numerous fans that no matter what anyone says, he may seem not to be affected. Mr Kunle, my advice for you, sir, is that you create a RU-vid channel and do your own things. Your Yoruba is rich, your communication skills are matchless and you're quite polite. You can still make it happen, sir. Thank you so much, Mr Agbaletu💯
I was once a Talking Drummer, I can assure you that only few make it big drumming, that's the reason I face my studies and today am a software engineer in a fintech company.
@@ojoolunike9509 well... maybe it's not my way... but I've been drumming right my childhood, and value education a lot, I grew up in a Celestial church premises and am left handed.. I can tell you that most of the guys we played together back then find it difficult to sustain today, not downplaying them, but drumming doesn't go for long for some, while doing and enjoying it, think of an alternative to venture into, even if one travel abroad, you might not just rely fully on drumming, especially when one turns a family.
@@tuffg.5469 His TALKS is rather too long, boring, incoherent and full of " SO '" .. He's supposed to be brief and straight to the point. The way he's talking doesn't show smartness ( although he's somehow thoughtful ) ! Just saying so, so, so, so in every sentence. No wonder he spent 32 years 😮 ! He hasn't even woken up yet. Instead of him to state categorically what he wants k1 de ultimate to do for him, he's busy perambulating 😮 ! I see some lapses in this man's mannerisms that made him to serve for such donkey years and being taken for granted, inspite of his huge talent😊. Mr man, you should specify what you categorically want kwam1 to do for you. Okay 🆗👌. Thank you.
@@mikeholad yes. however, excessive uses of " so" in a speech will dilute the point and mess up the man message. that's why he couldn't even state categorically what he wants done, okay 👍
I remember having a uncle that drums many years back for one of the biggest Nigeria Musician , travels all over the world with team but came back to our village few years back with nothing and living in abject poverty, can't feed .His fathers house he resorted to have some sides collapsed but he's still living inside till about 2years ago my dad was talking to me about him. Only God knows what's happening in this music industry. Definitely MOHBAD suffered this evil act that lead him to untimely death. VANITY UPON VANITY
This bros is blunt and sincere. He undoubtedly has glory. Very talented and steep in Yoruba oratory. Amuni buni, ọkọla yii 😊. God will surely come through for him.
I grew up within the compound of talking drummers in Abeokuta, though they were originally from Oyo state. They were mostly poor due to poor family background that didn’t provide them with education, but one thing you can’t take away from them is they were richly intelligent, brave and had great wisdom, which they displayed through loads of proverbs and phrases they dished out with there drum I doff my hat for them
Baale Dele Adeyanju well done for this very interesting interview. People that know K1 do attest for his stinginess, rude manners and non caring ways to his band members. At 67 years he should do all to care for his band members who are the ones that made him. Some of them have passed away and forgotten by him. These people has family but are not catered for by him. God will continue to be with you Sir Kunle, people will raise up to support you.
Thank u Agba man and I feel for this handsome man,it is a known fact that KWAM 1 is arrogant and controlling but all I know is Vanity upon vanity, all is vanity. I wish people can rally round this man for help.
Baba, don't go back. Your help will locate u. It happened to me working for 12 years. The day I left, I left with nothing. Today I thank God for my life. Move on u will be ok.
I commend you Mr Ayankunle Olabode Ayanlowo for sharing your truth. As a 31 years survivor of domestic abuse and an advocate now, I get this question alot, the same question put to you by the moderator of this program, "why did it took you so long to leave". What you've been through is another kind of abuse, you do not own it to anyone to swear or try to make them believe your truth.....However I love the prayer you prayed for those group of people. E ni damu loruko Jesu, God almighty shall bring forth your destiny helpers expressly now in Jesus mighty name Ameen. For those of you in the comment session expressing your doubts, of course it's a free world and like he said, he is not coming out for your kind of support. How more precise and transparent can someone be than this for goodness sake..... he mentioned names and most of this people are still living, year the incidents happened and where.
To be sincere i love this man and his telling the truth i ones experience such a things by coming to Nigeria without money asking myself where I'm after seen myself at muritala Airport but today i thanks God i managed to go bk after lot of suffering in Nigeria may God open doors for this man i wish I've his contact
This stories are very touching. Mr Agbaletu I'm from Igbesa. The Mr Owoyemi Odunsi which your guest mentioned is my brother. He's based in London. He's very versatile in talking drumming. I can recall he took along 3 gangan drums when he was returning to London in 1984. This world is very deep🤔 Well done Sir.
This interview is a very clear indication that an "Average Nigerian" is not a nice person, especially towards each other......from Band leaders to Politicians, government officials, law enforcement agents, captains of industries to religious leaders........it's all the same, SELFISHNESS, GREED and OPPRESSION....No wonder our country is so messed up!!!!
He already made himself like kolokolo or bone, thatis tied to dogs neckthat should not be earing or lost, even if its natural occurrence, wasiu should be held responsible
That baba Alawo part... justified everything have been thinking and hearing about this said musician(wasiu ayinde) since my childhood days....And awon oponu alfa yen (awon alatenuje gbogbo) wey one or two days go pass wey dem no go go there go beg for money on behalf of prayer - wont say anything towards this their mentor actions ooo #& also the interviewer is one of the best i ever seen(very professional- questions been asked are always reasonable and respectful)...much grease to your elbow Sir
To God be all Glory, honour and Adorations! Dele Adeyanju (Agbaletu), May you never be put to Shame. I intentionally decided to quit stage shows to face my production business in 2012 when I looked at the way we were being used as a slave back then as a Bass backup vocalist, we never had anything to account for for years of running shows and studio works.
Wow, this is highly expository and revealing. A school of thought says that we shouldn't judge a book by its cover. From this man's story, I could see that people we think are comfortable are really going through so much, of which life fallacy did not allow us to see. Meanwhile, my prayers for you my brother is for God to keep you and your household protected IJN!🙏🏾 Dele, o ni subú láíláí!🙏🏾 Interesting program, keep it up!👍🏾
I remember saw him @ elephant 🐘 and Castle 🏰 London around that 1996 and heard he's teaching african talking drum in one of the UK schools. I really enjoy his performance on stage. Wishing him all the best. @ Agbalẹtu, you never disappoint bro
Vanity upon vanity all is vanity they are all the same both Ayinde I remember when Tunde balinga have stroke he was neglected begging for food anyway no one is perfect but let wasiu K1 rethink before it too late igba lanni enikan koni Aiye ooo I come in peace Iree ooo❤
This interviewer, no doubt is very good...The progression and cascade manner he started his questions up to the melting point of K1 issue says it all. I actually stumbled on his channel this morning and i became instant follwer, keep it up bro. Mr. Dele, kindly use any means within your capacity to assist Mr Ayankunle, he's a bunch of talent and this must not be allowed to waste....God bless
I CAN name at least ten of late Barrister's band members, I CAN'T name a single member of K1's band. That says it all... Barrister will dedicate a whole side of an album praising and shouting out his members while Wasiu will only praise himself endlessly.
@@kamarokonu2363 Also, Tunde Ballinger, Tajudeen Pele, Aderoju (onilu mi o), Aremu Nurudeen Junior Barrister (his blood brother), Osilo Manager, Dayo Martins, Adisa Samson and so on and so forth including Project Managers and Events Coordinators... Barrister was a very decent human being!
Bàbá Barry celebrate his members in FUJI MILLENNIUM/ÌTÀN ORIN. AS a matter of fact that's my favourite album because Bàbá ỌBA used 1 side to sing praises of all his band men including accountant and manager. REST STRONG DR SIKIRU AYINDE BARRISTER OLOLADE ADEMIYIKA AGBAJELOLA ABINUWAYE BARUSATI OLANBIWANINU ALHAJI ÀGBÀ IBA Ẹ OOOOOO. SEE what K1 is doing ooo after celebrating your 60th birthday for you when he knows that you don't celebrate birthday any birthday and you died 2 years later.
This interview is revealing with good depth. The interviewer is fantastic and response was fantastic. This man is fantastic 👏 , truthful, respectful and very clear headed. Employers are wicked in Nigeria. God will release and support him
I have noticed and use to say this for more than 42 years back, when I was on the street in my secondary school day. Starting from mode of dressing of band boys to what the band leader wear. There is a vide gulf of disparity. Many of my friends are band boys, that latter went into illicit substances, due to hardship and inability to measure up to societal expectation.
At 1:08:20, what he said is undoubtedly spot on and on the money. The introduction of the talking drum "gan gan" was the game changer that launched Wasiu Ayinde (American Tips) into the mainstream of we (the elites) acceptance of fuji music. It ushered in the keyboard and guitar 🎸 that made followups like "Global tour", "Berlin" and Fuji Fusion" become global hits.... I really wish this brother and K1 can sit down One on One, without a single human being present, so they can both vent their issues at each other, like mortal beings that we are and lovingly quench all the anger and animosity btw them once and for all...
I don’t think this particular Oga Elere will humble himself to dialogue with this gentleman. They don’t regard them as anything. They forget that the drums are an integral part of their overall sound.
It’s on record how KSA still regards and honour Bob Aladeniyi as an appreciation of Bob’s contribution to KSA’s sound. Omoluabi o si fun most band leaders.
Most of the drummers in music band are not learned enough, they all came from ile oke(Village) that's why he said they are treated like slaves even in advanced country,if they are learned enough they could have ran away from K1 even without their passport.oruko ti o ba wun ni la nje leyin odi.
He talks exactly like Alhaji Wasiu Ayinde. He looks so calm and professional. Probably because he has spent so many years working with him. God bless you as you stand on your own.
"Eniyan lo ko esin 🐎 loro, esin o nika ninu". This really break my heart, very humble and calm man, hearing this man, you will know he's saying the fact just like baba rasaq aladokun did. It's a pity many of the musicians we love and merry at their music treat their band members that contributed heavily to their vision and success. A tree can't make a forest. Well, everyone will reap all what they sow sha... Alula fomo onilu
Well said. Unfortunately, the leading artiste believed they were their bosses when they were in fact their business partners. Our system and culture failed these people, and capitalised on their vulnerabilities of youth, love and commercial illiteracy. How I wish a good human rights or commercial lawyer can, on a no win, no fee basis help to throw collective class legal actions against those leading artistes on behalf of ALL of their former band members for financial restitution. Gauntlet to all of you, so called lawyers out there!
Thanks for this interview It has really gone viral For instance the intervention of Iya laje Court room show has began to attract some succour and sympathy to Mr Kunle Olabode Ayanlowo
Agbaletu kudos for this insightful interview. Please do a detailed interview of Kollington Ayinla. He deserves to be archived for his legacies and innovations as far as Fuji Music is con concerned. Let's hear from the Leegends mouth his Fuji odessey now that he is alive. As for this guy may God restore him back tobhis destiny.
Unfortunately, Baba Alatika ko ri Oju ara re at the moment since his life-threatening hospitalisation at the back end of last year. So better to leave him alone for now. There are other interviews of him elsewhere on RU-vid you can watch if hearing him is that important to you.
The only advice I have for this man is to be very careful about his movements after this interview. Anything can happen at any time, my God protect him from evil 😈 or traps. And he should not go to any of K1's show again to avoid setup. I wish him the best of luck 🤲 In-Sha-Allah
Ayankunle is the one turn K1 music around in d 90s with talkink drum the man is not lie against K1. Agba God bless you. Please extend your interview to the Union they were doing the same
You are speaking within your rights and well done for speaking up.. God will make way for you and we need to support this man.. can we have his bank account details to donate for him please..
Thank you Mr Dele Adeyanju. Apart from Chief Ebenezer Obey and IK Dairo, your channel has really exposed the wickedness of the Yoruba musician leaders soo wicked to their band guys.
Kwam 1, people love your music and you have made a lot of money, still making money. Don't you think the band boys should be happy with their family too? Remember judgement Day.
Do you guys know what dey went through before getting fame and what he has been told before he can get fame ?….some of them have go beyond what dey suppose do so most of them won’t have sympathy for there staffs
This man is highly intelligent and he has a rich and unique understanding of what he’s saying. He’s a good guy looking at his body language and responses. If I was a billionaire I would have called him to forget what he has experienced and I will set him up in a bigger way. But, it’s God that can do that for him now. We all should just learn from this and turn a new leaf. God help you, Mr Kunle. You shall be more successful and prosperous IJN🙏🙏🙏
It's so disheartening seriously. He is not lying at all. The fact that they handle the Fuji bands like illiterates and street gangs is a huge factor. No one can dare ask questions in that band or put down any ideas. So sad,370k for 46 shows and we know that K1 makes millions per show😢
Just listening to this man and accessing the situation, i don't have a single doubt of all he said. He is a good man, down to heart and respectable. Some people might ask questions about why did he go back to Wasiu Ayinde after he had suffered so much under him. Situation of life can make human beings become vulnerable to continuous abuse. This musician must be challenged of ill-treated people working for him. If nobody does, God is watching. Whatever you sow in life, you shall reap in multiple folds.
I hardly watch memoirs, but I found this story so intrigue; I learned more about philosophy of life through this content. I feel for you Sir, my prayer is God shall turn again your captivity in Jesus Name. Thanks to the presenter for this concept.
This interview is deep and revealing. It illustrates a Yoruba adage that says 'Isale Oro legbin' the source of wealth or fame is full of dirtiness and intrigues. Well-done Agabaletu.
No one gets rich playing as band boy! I've been living in canada for almost 30 years and never ever play band boy for anyone again. Some names came up in the video. Egbon Liadi Bello RIP and I crossed paths at a point. And Semiu the taking drummer and I were band mates with Segun Awe in the early 90s. No one ever gets rich playing as band boy !
My Brother Ayanlowo, I feel you and i believe what you've said 100%, Your time as come and you will testify greately very soon and thanks a million time s to Agbaletu for this exposition, it is an eye opener God Bless
He should take all that will come to him now and start farming. He should forget about getting a vehicle or finishing up the remaining part of his house for now. Since his in iseyin, get a farm land, go to the training and start small for his sustainance. Nice interview bro. Keep it up and this will definitely boost your followership. Remain neutral and unbiased.
Very explosively informative especially how he joined K1s band. I met Ayankunle alongside Sem Winter in London when I had a pseudo mamnagent relationship with K1. I've always know that Ayankunle is a Gentleman that never like Wàhálà which I can understand his clean comparison btw fuji and the Juju world of Music. Inspite of that Fuji seems to be surviving. @agbaletu well done sir
No no anybody that know k1 should tell him to beg and compensate this man . Mr wasiu k1 you my brother from ijebu ode truth must be said , if you compensate each of band 5million it can be anything in your body.❤ I beg baba ijebu do something.
Agbaletu, I will continue to love your programme, Pls help me ask this man can he play for another musician that will make him happy forever, by HIS grace.
Kunle Ayan, Please be strong. The heart of man is full of evil. This is one is really sad. Your time has come. You will not beg for food. One thing is certain, our rewards are with us. Be strong and see what God will do.
The man is very right because Dr. Sikiru Ayinde Barrister always called himself bandleader.... for example. There are thousands of music groups, each with their own leadership structure. Some bands have called leaders or frontman, while others operate more democratically but not boss. For example, Bono is widely recognized as the frontman of U2, Mick Jagger holds a similar position in The Rolling Stones. One love baba ❤❤❤❤
I hardly spend an hour on film cos i get tired easily but this interview took away my whole night, hnnmmm ,we haven't hear from k1 and if so be it mr Ayan God shall credit all your effort in multiple fold,it will not be wasted in Jesus name
Alihamdulillah robilalameen daddy pasuma is a good man❤,..walahi tallahi I'm so happy that pasuma is a good man o,...ah Allah will continues to bless Baa waasi🙌💜💯🤍💜🤍💯
Mc oluomo has more than 10 alujo's with this man but he will never helped him now, he created an anthem for every alahji wasiu fans both home and abroad, this man has really paid his dues walahi
Baale Dele Adeyanju' I thank God for your life. Your work is always of big impact on people. You are giving lessons of life and destiny. You are beaming light of understanding and redirection on life and destiny. God keeps keeping you on. You are not ordinary
One man business is difficult to join without concrete agreement that can be taken to the court for settlement. That is why all these people easily cheat people who made the money with them.
@@adekunleadesoye7882 100% so. Our culture too is a BOG part of the problems and abuses they suffered. The stories are similar (and worse in some cases) with many of former band members of leading Juju artistes too. It is so sad and unacceptable.
This man is saying the truth about wasiu ayinde, i have a lot of my friends that are his band boys they left him with similar experiences,he said to one of them that onilu melo lo se ori re.
This man is saying the truth about money sharing formula in K1s band.. One of the guy that japa in UK told me this but I didn't believe him then. He usually say they have not paid them and they will be borrowing money up and down till they pay
is not about asking what he wants, there should be a law that will made royalty to be paid to the owner of the music which is wasiu ayinde and also the band that where together to produced the music. What i meant is that as he is receiving royalty he should share with the band.
Wow! Wow!! Wow!!! What an interview? This is the most insightful, the most engaging and the most revealing interview you've done to date, bar none. It is so touching to hear how this man and band members of popular old school Yoruba music artistes lived with physical and mental enslavement for so many years in public gaze. Aka suffering and smiling as Late Fela Kuti described it. Ironically, newer and younger band members are still experiencing similar fates today; whilst the so called arrow heads keep accumulating riches at their expense. I've never been a fan of Wasiu or of Fuji music in general - the genre is just not my thing; therefore I had never heard of this man or seen him in Wasiu's band before today but I know absolutely that his account of events are 100% true. I say this because Wasiu is an Inlaw to close family friends of mine; going back over 4 decades. It is unfortunate though that Kunle mentioned a car as the assistance he needs; given that, that is not the help many listeners (myself included) are for many reasons likely to be prepared to render to him. sadly, this gives the impression that he probably won't appreciate smaller gestures of assistance. What a shame. I hope he can still find a way to create his own prosperous economy with the drum skills and gift he undoubtedly has. Why hasn't he set up a low cost and potentially life-changing online school for aspiring drummers with worldwide reach through social media?
Good job Mr. Dele, you’re a talented interviewer. Now couple of things. Mr. Ayankunle was right about the price of small bottle of Dry Gin @ Ten Naira, I remembered very well in the early nineties in Lagos. Secondly, Wasiu Ayinde had been engaging in vicious attacks on his band members as far back as mid 80s and I witnessed one at Princess Street, Lagos Island. But I never knew he’s so callous and greedy up to this extent. There’s God oooo!!!
