No, I think they're harder this time around. You just feel that way because the new characters only have 10 Expert challenges, while the old characters still have over 10 Expert challenges at minimum, with them being much harder than before on average. For example, my main, Chaos, has completely different trials than before, and it fucks with my muscle memory HARD. And then you get to Seth who ACTUALLY USES HIS j.623X COMBOS FROM CLR IN HIS TRIALS.
@hazzydahaka13 Yeah maybe. I have only finished Tsurugi and Waldstein who are pretty easy anyway. Although I do remember Walds trials feeling harder in clr lol. Chaos trials are still pretty hard tho
