Waaa Mbira music is the best.lets keep our Rozvi/ Lozwi culture alive. I'm so proud of My Zimbabwe. I was born in Matebeland icant speak Shona but i connect well with my ancestors especially when they are playing Mbira. Thus what makes me to be proud Rozvi. Please my fellow Zimbabweans let us re write our History we are one people as Zimbabweans. Being a Ndebele speaking person doesn't make one less Rozvi . We all share one ancestor. One Njelele One Tateguru Mwari/Mwali. One Zimbabwe lets unite and shun western cultures it has destroyed our culter and sovereignty. Thx Chief Nyathi VP UANC PARTY
I am in love with mbira music and this song, one of the best music on this earth. Europe robbed us our culture, am proud to have such talented people in my country.
@@Zinhle314 yes, afro beat and hip hop. I am a white from America, and I love africa, its people and culture. I first went to Zim in 96. The culture i used to be fascinated with, is no longer there. Ndiri sekuru iko zvino. The youngsters want to be gangster rappers and tiktokkers. Its over the west colonized again and stole that most beautiful culture
@@oasislearnersacademy6705 Our forefathers are not originally from Africa. They came from the Levant Region and then migrated into Africa due to wars in the Levant Region. When they arrived in East Africa they started feeling a bit more secure and named their first settlement Tanganyika literally meaning our country start here or simply new beginnings in a new country. They brought with them crops and animals that are not indigenous to Africa eg mhunga, ipwa, manhanga , cattle and goats. These crops and animals were not being farmed in Africa by the original settlers of sub Saharan Africa ie the Khoisan etc. Many ancient mbira songs are about migration and the fact that the wars had killed and/or displaced our people from their original home eg Ndiudzeio kwakaenda vamwe( please tell where my relatives are located) Hurombo mugara ndega( I am poorer without them) Randiremera sango( reference to leaving settled areas into the wilderness proper where their lives and that of their animals were in danger. Our language is very old and has similar vocabulary to ancient Hebrew for example resha is resva a mistake, Chata or shata a sin, Ben vene owners of etc. I already wrote a book about this it's available on takealot.com or other online book stores. We shall officially launch the book in December this year.
Ndinonzwa kusungurwa mumoyo mangu. This is our genuine history that resembles our way of life. The English as the Europeans came here to destroy our powerful traditional life. I believe in Chaminuka, Nyatsimba Mutota, Changamire, Chikura ,.Netondo, Goronga, Musonza Kakarakununa, Benhura na Cheza. Powerful mhondoro korekores.
Yaaah.. this is a true masterpiece!! I just can't get enough of it.. Been repeating it for days and days. Muchinda wengoma uyo mmmmmnnnn ane level rake ega mhani. Heeeeyyyiiii...that drum is the true definition of a talking drum! It talks to me! And I understand it!! 🤪🤪🤪
This is a true representation of who we as Zimbabweans aaah ndonzwa manyukunyuku-mbira ngoma nehosho zvinomutsa varere izvi. Please us not demonize our tradition rather we must be proud of this as a part of our identity. ♥️
Tells OF every Zimbo in diaspora who couldnt bear the SITUATION and the stoney hearts of the government ,the song is very old bt the meaning is so fresh .such a very prophetic song from more than a thousand years ago resonating with our current situation ,[THEIR HEARTS ARE STONEY BETTER I GO AWAY, FAR FROM FAMLIY]
Mbira has been westernised so much with glamour That we now dance without really listening by the heart. Knowing that most mbira players are singing about the end of the world, it sounds like a nostalgia once you realise our purpose on earth is told over and over... until it's not, but a fragment of a song... Wake up Zimbabweans! wake up! And smell the fresh air You are not welcomed here on earth regardless of changing your identity, your birth right Mbira was never meant to be sold it was a deep sacred archive to knowing what your ancestors did and would be passed down. Little do you know That this so called "instrument" Is of ancient Persian roots So how did it get here? In the hands of the inorganic ones they stole it from you and gave you imitations and false promise of Christianity with a piano. I tell you this Zimbabwe The day you realise there is no God Is the day you will wake up shook to your core from the deep trauma. The future generations that read this, the message that the ancestors instilled in us is that if you don't Humble yourself to this word that the colonizer uses "NATURE", it is in fact far much deeper than what we are being perceived or shown by today's world we stem from the unknown. Future generation, know that They are world's within worlds in which you come into and out off. And the song of this world has already been played through our Mbira for the whole entire earth all you need to do is listen carefully.
Preach brother, its about very time we re-member with our ancestors and go back to our ancient ways thats when we regain our power and dignity... I'm from Tanzania but I connect with my African roots, I wish to learn more also. Love, light and truth your msjesty✊🏾
Reminds me of my best mate,we repeatedly played it from Gweru to Harare sometime in November 2023 Love you my BFF&miss you loads, hope we will have more road trips when I come back to Zimbabwe as I enjoyed & miss them a lot, take care mate and will always love you no matter what ❤❤
I have and I will maintain my beliefs of my beautiful Gorekore traditions. This is our music as African, Zimbabweans this music mould our reality present life. It is better than any other fake music.
good for you. AS a white american, who came to africa for the culture, I am disappointed in what has happened in the past 26 years I have been here. Allthe youth today in Zim want to be hip hop rappers and tiktok influencers its so sad. The african culture and music is so beautiful. Please dont let your kids be westernized, mazviita zvenyu
Just look at the oneness, all ages depicting various generations both male and female. Move with the rhythm and just watch that simultaneous response. Africa is just beautiful
First heard it in Chegutu in August when we went for my late aunt's rites. We brought the instruments team off Chirau communal lands.Unfortunately their voices were not that clear.Enjoyed the song but was only hearing kuenda kure....got in on radio and bang I got another staple.
Oh wooooow. Fire upon fire! This is why I really love African culture. Flying down to Great Zimbabwe to sample this song in person. An online friend tells me this is Shona language...and what's more sweet, he gave me the interpretation. Honestly, awesome people, very rich culture, very electrifying music with several "omukadzi" dancing along. Most Shona words have an exact meaning like those in the Luhyia language of my people back in Kenya. Dzimba di Mabwe, omukadzi, etc🎉
Hello haters how do you feel not to play a song on basis that it's not your language, see what you're missing out on, these are best song I'm not a shona, kalanga or whatever the case may be,but I love this song I keep on repeating it
🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 moyo yavo yakaoma hama dzakaoma vatorwa varinani mmmm i feel blessed listening to this song 🎵 👌 ♥️ 🎶 keep doing great job guys and we always supporting you 💯
