Nothing wrong sa pagiging kuripot, becasue nakita ko mga cowork kong mga RN they dont spend money sa car or expensive bag. Ang talaga ng pinag kakagastusan nila is shoes nila at mejas. 😊

Hindi lang mga Ilocano ang kuripot! Marami rin akong kilala na hindi Ilokano na kuripot. Tama ka ma’am, being a kuripot is a lifestyle depende sa mga priorities mo sa buhay. May kilala ako, sabi nya “ang pera ay ginagastos”. Kaya hangga ngayon ay hindi pa nakapag retire. Kung marami kang resources, ok lang ang magpa bongga- bongga, but otherwise kailangang mag kuripot at mag tipid for the rainy days.😊
It is costly in the west because it have to be coordinated with the income, living standard and where you are geographycally. Arrived in Randers, DK in 1988 and 2 months after I needed the haircut. One thing I noticed with you, your abode is nice but so huge, probably due to facilities for your daughter regarding her situation and what about heating, light power also appliances and more power for AC or fans in the summertime...is it cheaper for electricity over there? Where I am at, they say it is only that much in the kilowatt, but with the all the taxes, duties, charges and la-la-la it all add up and will eventually turn into a lot in the budget. I live in 87sqm flat, I pay for the warm, water, garbage collection and common expenses for the maintenance of the garden, pavements, parking lot, kids play area, snow services during winter and common facilities at the basement with washing machine/ironing, they are not free, but the association are obligated to facilitate that for those occupants, even it it is minus on yearly result, but that is the service for those who do not wish to have their own laundry machines, storage areas down there, office for the homeowners association. I have a co-worker they have everything:a big house with Olympic swimming pool,6 bedroom house,boat,nice car(a high end Mercedes) a bonus room with table pool and a complete set of music instruments and a baby piano. Her husband is a neuro surgeon and she’s an ICU RN.She has a doctorate in nursing and only work perdiem and teaches in a college of nursing university. They always have parties in their house.They only have 1 son and he’s a doctor. They enjoy life and travelled the world.Niw that both of them are retired they’re planning to downsize t a 2 br gated 55 yr.old community and enjoy life to the fullest.That’s the way life is.ENJOY !
