how come you used the rocket pods instead of bombs? is it less drag or weight or something? (also great video awesome to see kurnass gameplay thats not so old)
The payload that can be carried on the F4 helps a lot, this versatility makes the F4 the best fighters for grinding. I usually use more fuel to go after enemies, but thinking purely about grinding, yes, less fuel and a sufficient amount of rockets(3x sets) for two bases is the best
