Kurnig is an intriguing and mysterious figure in antinatalist history. He coined the term Neo-Nihilismus to describe his philosophy that it is better never to be born and that it is wrong to procreate. I have been waiting for this and I was not disappointed. Lawrence, this is really commendable work - you convened a mini academic colloquium on this heretofore totally under-studied figure. This is exactly the kind of grunt work we need to happen on a regular basis. I am very impressed. I was glad to hear the gentlemen describe Kurnig as "a not particularly good writer." I've been reading "Neo-Nihilism" for a while now. I had had the same thought, but not being a native speaker, I always doubt my opinions about the quality of writing in the German language. This confirmed my suspicions! I was very glad to be introduced to the person of Marie Huot. She might be a good lead character for an opera... However, I must say, the pièce de résistance in this video - and really a high point of my life - was when Lenny described me as "William White, the famous composer." I'll be living off that one for a while to come. :)

the horsemen of truth and wisdom you are here doing good while the rest of humons are recklessly replicating themselves the world is a very sick and evil place yes there is beauty in nature but there is also a huge ugliness in it too for every "happy" person there is a ton of unhappy people thank you for telling people the truth

perhaps antinatalism is not a philosophy for everyone, just like certain type of music is not meant to be for everyone HOWEVER, maybe it is important to show people that procreation is very selfish just like you would explain to a child that fire is not to be played with you can also explain to it that the reason for why he is here is very dark and selfish yes, it is important to tell kids the truth about why they are here cuz every child deserves to know that life is not a gift and is not to be celebrated kids need to hear the truth when they ask you these types of questions don't just say "you will know one day" tell them the way things are without sugarcoating or bullhytting

@@TheFettuckwe all suffer in some sense at a job, unless we love our job. The economy has a division of labor. I don't believe the animals should be dragged into providing food or labor. That being said, we should avoid exploitation of people as much as possible, but most of us are wage slaves and choose to go on but not reproduce.
