She looks fabulous. I remember a few years back when I used to do this style myself with my own hair and it took HOURS! She has a full team there but doing it yourself is much harder and time consuming. It is much easier now because of all the access to hair pieces and half wigs~
Black Diamond are to admire. I never tried this style but I think it's incredibly awesome and their hair is breathtaking. All these parts of the style take lots of dedication, it's so nice to see it's being kept alive by these awesome girls

The only thing that ever really bothered me about this style of gyaru fashion are the outrageously long stiletto nails. To me, personally, it's just like "How am I supposed to do things with these??" Other than that, I love gyaru fashion, it's many different styles and how it has evolved over the years..

What I mean is that most gyarus I know who do this hairstyle and don,t have money or time to go to the hairdresser everyweek, they use wigs that are coiffed that way.
I'd love to try the Gyaru makeup/makeover style ^.^ It seems really interesting to do for fun, nothing permanent. Just those nails.. I don't think I'd add those in haha
+Tinyfată That's essentially what they're emulating. Not the show, but the style. Kuro Gyaru is an updated more modern version of Ganguro. It's actually described as being "more sexy and less conservative" than it previously was. Ganguro was very popular in the early 2000's but had died down. Around 2012 it was brought back and popularized again as Kuro Gyaru. In case you're curious, Jersey Shore aired in 2009 and and stopped in 2012. People get so upset when you compare something they like to something they hate, being that a lot of people dislike jersey shore. But facts are facts, and while this style was around before Jersey Shore, it's likely that they took at least some hints from Snooki and the other one. (I don't know her name) People forget or just don't know, that Ganguro and Kuro Gyaru are based in Western celebrity fashions. And no, that's not some insult or whatever. That's just how fashion works between countries. A lot of Japanese street fashions have aspects of western culture and even other countries and vice versa. During the time of Kuro Gyaru rising to popularity again (2010-2012) Jersey Shore was extremely popular in the U.S. and was a big part of pop culture. So yes, this style took notes from what was popular in order to make it more modern. One could say they took the Jersey Shore style and made it better. Even though even in America this style was around way before Jersey Shore, that's all people really recognize it for now a days. The point of Kuro Gyaru is for them to make their selves look like black girls. Specifically celebrities. This is a fact, not an assumption or my opinion. The term "Kuro Gyaru" literally translates to "black skinned girl" and it's essentially the opposite of the other street fashion, "Shiro Gyaru", which means "white faced girl". Ganguro can be translated to "black-face". The fashion magazine centered around Kuro Gyaru is titled "Soul Sister Magazine". the girl in this video is from the group Black Diamond. Personally, in my opinion, it's not racist or offensive. Although some people might feel that way.But they aren't mocking the style or black people. It's more like "Hey we really like the way this looks so we're going to try it out". They took it and added their own things to make it unique for them. That's pretty much what fashion is and there is nothing at all wrong with that.

Manga-Cats-Anime This is no where near 90's Gyaru fashion or Gyaru from 00's- 2010. This style of Gyaru is very new and has no original origins from 90's GAL other than dark skin and dyed hair.
Actually no, Gyaru lifestyle has changed sooo much over the years. Today there isn't even a lifestyle to Gyaru because Gyaru of today are not REAL GYARU. Girl's in Japan of today to call themselfs Gyaru are not real Gyaru they are just normal, everday, basic Japanese girls who have noting to do with Gyaru in any way shape or form. Sub-styles over the years have come and gone, Yes. Kuro-Gyaru is a sub-style to Gyaru and has been around since '07.
I've been around since '07 and have talked with many people within the Japanese Gyaru comm and Gaijin Gyaru comm and have learned things on my own and from my own experience.

After all it's not that difficult. U can even wash dishes by hand and all that stuff. It might be a little tricky at first, but becomes easy after 1-2days with them.

When I just put on fake nails I always worry that they'll break off, since they're only glued on, that's why I also can't type or do anything with them properly X'D anyway these long nails are usually made from acryl and the sit super hard(?) on ur natural nails. they only become difficult when they've grown out a little too much since then they'll easily break off,,,,and man, that's painful ;;;;;;;;
haha yeah that's right. I still have to work a lot around horses and other animals so I can't have my nails much longer than 2cm ... alo I don't have money...which makes things even worst lmao
Ive had similar but slightly shorter and I'm the CEO of a business so I type every day - it probably takes about 3 days to re-get used to them after not wearing them but you adapt haha You should try them out. Lotta fun.
these nails are decorated with sailor moon motifs and characters. You will be able to see that in the opening of the makeup tutorial to be released next week if our computer dicides to stop crashing ;)
