I understand that Akashi has his reasons. He has a terrible twisted life, and he himself was too shaken to think calmly and fight back with his "other self". But in turned out nicely, thanks to Kuroko's determination :)

people that agree with akashi must never have played a team sport or something. you want to win because you want to celebrate with your comrads. you dont want to win just to win. if winning is all that matters, there's nothing to celebrate. because you've only reached "what matters".
And yet, the state of the NBA is what it is right now. I look at Lebron and he's resting and taking off games before the finals. Why? Because winning is all that matters. This is the unstated and unspoken mindset we put on players today. Rings are everything. If you don't have an NBA championship ring, you've accomplished less with your career, no matter how many points you may average or assist you may get. Look at Golden State, setting the all time wins in a season mark last year. No one cares. Why? They didn't come out of it with the chip. Your words sound nice, but there wrong. In the real world, winning is truly all that matters. (fairly, of course. Cheaters are a whole different topic)
Thomas Fobi yeah winning is really all that matters. People would acnowledge you for winning and not anything else in real life but winning with the help of your teammates whom you formed a friendship with is a whole entire feeling. I have played with my friends a counterstike tournament in our town and won 10 years ago and it was one of my memorable moments that i wouldnt forget. Although it would have not be compared as a career you would spend your whole life on like basketball winning an nba championship with your best friends would be an awesome moment.
That's not really how Akashi sees it.Basketball was the only remembrance he had left from his dead mother.The only people who treated him like family are Kuroko,Aomine,Kise,Midorima,Murasakibara,and Momoi.He just didn't want to lose them and their friendship,that's why when he "almost" lost a one-on-one against Murasakibara,his personality switched into Emperor Eye-Akashi.
When you start out I believe thats true just like it was true for the generation of miracles when they started but once youve reached a high enough level youll do anything to stay there and eventually while getting along with your team mates is ideal winning is above all else at the end of the day for most people. Just ask any nba player who never won a ring if they would have rather played on a team where everyone hated each other but they got a ring. In the end they would say it was worth it.
You must also aknowledge Akashi's situatuon though. Teiko was leagues above any other team they competed with. They could no longer have fun together as each of the GOM had grown too strong so they ended up clashing with each other to the point of challenging each other's authority within the team. Then Murasakibara challenged Akashi and losing to Murasakibara caused this change into Akashi. If Akashi had to keep the team together he had to be stronger than everyone else and that meant winning at any cost. Kuroko is the only one who cannot understand that since he's the only one from the GOM who's playstyle relies on someone else scoring.
"The team did not change because I changed, I changed because the team changed" Change is necessary to move forward A world that has lost the ability to move forward will be destroyed.
Tokera first thing akashi didn't make kuroko cry. kuroko always had a hope that no matter what happens akashi will always stick the team together. but akashi had his own pressures. he had to stand first in his Academics as well as stand up for his family and manage team and had to deal with teammates rudeness and his father's insanity and much more. He had so much of pressure . He was emotionally shook when the team started to break , so much then he developed a dual personality I kinda feel sorry for him. I remember Shin-chan telling that he had seen Akashi's different face and he never wanted it to come out. It shows how much stressed Akashi was. I wanted to see Akashi's father's reaction for his son's change.
Imagine a student that always has perfect scores in any class, ultimate ace of every sport branch, a son of quadrilioners and/or important people, looking hot that make girls fall for him and make boys gay for him, an apex brawl that no one can even scratch him in a fight doesn't matter how much you rigged the fight, elegantly well mannered, has excellent social skill that the whole school society resolve around him, and actually kind and cool to everyone ... but he said "I actually has 2 personality, and logically speaking, winning is the end goal of everything so I dedicate my whole life to strive for it" ...
Because Kuroko is a man of his words... He did promise Momoi that they all would be friends together and he kept his word and beat all of them with his own style of basketball
I don't think Kuroko's that naive though. He at least could come to terms and address the issue aka he must beat Kisedai before they destroy themselves. The most naive character in Kuroba IMHO is Kagami. Moreover, is it wrong to be naive when you're just 16? Or be like Akashi? 15 and already cray cray with DID and capable to commit homicide..
I understand Akashi's feeling.. But to win always without tasting bitter lose, you'll never grow up. I hate it when akashi makes kuroko cry .. but I still love him lol.

Akashi lost his sense of sportsmanship...friendship.....emotion....Most improtantly Value of teamwork......Why??!!!!......Poor Kuroko.....Most of them changed....But not him.....Sad Phantom Sixth man!!!...

I understand so much Akashi. Being cursed by a talent like this is a real burden, and this burden created the way they changed. If you cannot change, then your power could be able to destroy everything you made. What would it happened if Akashi wasn't a tyrant ? They probably would've given up after they'd destroyed everyone's dream. In fact, no matter what they would do, the results would be the same at the end... Maybe worst. That's my feeling but I think Kuroko was a little selfish because he couldn't understand the burden of a great talent. I like him but he's not able to understand GoM's feeling. This scene shows us one thing : any miracle has a price. (sorry if I made some mistakes, english is not my native language ^^)
Kuroko is a bit hypocritical, one sympathizes with him more because he is the MC and we see his suffering from his perspective but Kuroko has bad defects like all GOM. Kuroko recognized that he wanted to take revenge on GOM using Kagami and Seirin, it was after that he developed a love for them, so at first he was not so interested in teamwork only in Kagami's power. Then Akashi pointed out that Kuroko was hypocritical because he just got worried and got angry at the GOM for taunting his opponents when his friend's team got involved, meanwhile he remained a spectator, so he is not so benevolent and compassionate as he appears. Kuroko judges GOM a lot because he does not know what it is to be in that position, mainly because his style of play is dependent on teamwork and not individualistic like the others.
I don't understand why people ship Akashi and Kuroko! I don't see a reasons and sense in that. 🤔 In my opinion Kagakuro make more sense and it has the potential to be a Canon.
Did you watch episode 22.5? Kise was far from being nice to Kuroko at first. Don’t get me wrong, I love Kise and he’s nice to Kuroko now. But when they first met at Teiko Kise was not
Is it just me or do Saiki K. And akashi sound similar. The more I listen to his voice the more I hear Saiki and the are both pink haired so like I’m seein it too
I mean, to be fair, Akashi is right that winning is everything, and the whole franchise is encouraging that ... Ultimately every game in the show is all about who's winning ... they failed if they not win the game ... they train to get stronger, enhance their team works, mastering zones, all so they can win ... they only smile when they're win, they never seems sad when they win ... they lose sad and cry when they're not win ... they can only convince that they're right by winning ...
