That front is indeed cursed for the Ukrainians. Their best troops are bogged down there and therefore are unable to mitigate Russian advances in the east.
So many lives waisted and for what. It does'nt matter wich governement you have to pay your tax. It's not worth dying for only for the ones that collect it.
It would matter when you have to do your taxes in russian and you are treated as a second class citizen. Google holodomor, see what they did in the past. Taxes, idiot.
I can see your pure heart ❤️ from the way you put your lines but this war is a BIG BUSINESS AND A MONEY 💰 MAKING FOR THE ARMS MANUFACTURERS. The poor Ukrainians are just used as a chacol to keep the fire 🔥 burning 🔥. Also look back what happened since the collapse of the Soviet Union immediately after was the Gulf War then 9/11 and the Chaos that fellowed the invasion of IRAQ 🇮🇶 and Afghanistan the War on Terrorism. Can you see the Business here? I believe the worst is yet to come. Let's pray for peace ✌️
“So many lives waisted and for what” Slava! You don’t understand the psychology of these people. They wanted to get back in the news, and they will ANYTHING for that. And that is what they did! Price doesn’t matter.
When the Ocheretyne flower happened, I didn't seriously think the RF would be able to zerg Pokrovsk like this. It just seemed too far away. I figured they would push north and aim to capture the Avtoshlyakh Junction (T 0504.) That would have caused some real headaches for Ukrainian logistics but the prospect that Pokrovsk City itself might be under siege in 3 to 4 weeks time is many times worse.
"firm control" UA doesn't have FIRM control over almost anything in the Kursk region(maybe 5-15% of what they "control"). And half those "control" or "geolocated" are 1-2 vehicles just taking whatever sneaky road or forest/field path they can find to get to where they can take another selfie and pretend they have "captured ground". At least half the Kursk region "controlled" by UA, simply is NOT. And mostly, there are NO FRONTLINES at all. What i'm getting from my own contacts is that there's lots of squad and platoonsized UA units spread out all over, getting hunted by drones and helicopter gunships when they're far from Russian troops, and by various Russian special forces and antiterrorist forces if they're deeper inside of Kursk. It's basically a big guerilla brawl there rather than anything like normal warfare. The problem with western propaganda today, is that it is so massively overwhelming and pervasive, that together with the mass censoring of anything that disagrees, they are not nearly as time limited as they should be, because once something they don't like comes out, they just ignore it and throw some BIG NEWS in your face to keep too much people from noticing.
To be fair, you have control anywhere your enemy doesn't, if you can quickly exercise control / freely move in an area then I'd say you control it. Obviously not firm control but still highly accessible, chances are most of the villages captured don't have anyone in them, their mostly headquartered in Sudzha. Although to be fair the "villages" near the Ukrainian border are essentially a street with 5 houses so not much value holding them anyways.
@@WinterXR7 "To be fair, you have control anywhere your enemy doesn't, if you can quickly exercise control / freely move in an area then I'd say you control it." But they can't. Russia has lots of drones and helicopter gunships hunting for them. Not to mention there's also Russian light infantry units hunting them. And UA deaths by sniper is becoming a BIG thing. These are most likely caused by the Spetznas units in the area. And THEY probably have more actual CONTROL over more than half the territory than UA does. "chances are most of the villages captured don't have anyone in them" Sadly, there was a number of hardcore holdouts that refused to leave, and many of them have been murdered in the last few weeks. No huge numbers, but dozens at least. "Although to be fair the "villages" near the Ukrainian border are essentially a street with 5 houses so not much value holding them anyways." Which is one of the reasons it's looking more and more like this may have been a deliberate trap by Russia. It's basically fields and woods and some tiny villages that were mostly evacuated in 2022. And the UA attempt to use the Chinese as patsies has now also made China become completely uninterested in helping UA any more. And with experience of previous behaviour of UA, it is quite realistic that Russia predicted that they would try such a scheme.
@@LeoTheLion66 And yet Ukraine's own soldiers call Syrsky a butcher for how many of his own men hes gotten killed. Or are we ignoring this because its inconvenient?
Wyatt ,the proper expression is " the shit has hit the fan " . You are the most objective of the mappers . HIstory Legends has gone totally beserk since the Kursk incursion . Maybe , he is off his meds .
Most of the time i find dima to be a good commentator, goes of geolocations mostly. This is until ukraine captures a village and he starts hyperventilating lol😂@izajahmed8863
Ukraine wanted some winning and they know that russia is too strong in east. Now ukraine have these troops engaged and opened new active front... if ukraine loses kursk then its over
The Ukrainians made the assumption that Russia would divert thousands of soldiers to the kursk front from Donbas. They hoped the Russians would go for a static defence in Kursk, Instead Russia went for a dynamic manuever ambush type defence, which loses more land but uses a lot less soldiers.
To be honest, if they kept those forces in Donbas they would have been slowly ground down without changing the outcome and without any PR victory. This way they have a PR victory and some time to sell it in the media, those forces will eventually die in Kursk, yes, but if they kept them in the Donbas they would have not changed the outcome.
Происходит размен элитных украинских войск на российских солдат срочной службы, которые не используются на Украинской территории, а ведут службу только на территории России.
@@LeoTheLion66 Who? Russia said that? Did you got eaten by your own western porpaganda :DDD If Russia would say that we would see the video of them saying that left and right, non-stop on any Ukraine cope channel and as memes. As you said 1000 days soon but I never ever saw that clip ;) But you know what is a Embarrassment the whole West/NATO feeding Ukraine with so much stuff and still can't win against the so called weak Russia. The west is not even at real war and their countries doing very bad from all the support hahaha.
@@LeoTheLion66only thing that’s embarrassing is your comment, if you had a brain and actually knew what your talking about, you would realize the 3 days bs was General Miley’s comment that you ignorant pro Ukraine like to dump as if it was Russians comment, find any Russian official that has said that or anywhere close to 3 days, you won’t, Russians have never gave a timeline, only thing they have said SMO will end when Ukraine is demilitarized and denazified, your not no Leo the lion but a sheep
men are very stubborn in heart, especially when their immediate family are not being killed. This is part of the reason both sides leaders are happy to just press on despite the losses. cruel but there is a lot of truth in it
Behind Potrovsk, there is a coal processing plant that provides about 40% of needs! It belongs to a billionaire who made his fortune when the USSR fell! That says it all!
Lol, Russia crushed 6k sanctions and Emerged as a high income economy thanks to the lengthening of the war. Lol, the more the war drags on the better for Russia. Russia currently holds and controls raw minerals on Ukraine worth over 13 trillion USD. If there's one party that benefits from the length of the war then it's Russia. You seem to forget demilitarization of Ukraine was one of the major objectives and anyone with a brain could easily tell Russia planned for a long term war. That's why they're winning the attrition game super quick and easy. Just drink the recent and upcoming updates with a cup of salt and cope!!!
@@DefensePoliticsAsia it's a herculean effort. It feels very repetitive and dull, but you are making history and people will watch/reference these videos long after we're dead.
I can't help but smile!!! All my Pro Ukraine friends who were laughing and trying to give me shit when the Kursk offensive started= WHERE ARE THEY NOW????? MUAHAHA (Evil Laugh) Muahahahaha. Long Live Putin!
Ukraine doesn't have long-term plans. The Kursk operation was about getting media attention to get more money. They have the money. What happens now doesn't matter.
***BREAKING NEWS*** A waitress at the Kabanos Restaurant on Torgovaya Street in Pokrovsk has leaked that the Russian Army called and made a booking for 2,000 soldiers for dinner next Thursday! Apparently they are planning to have afternoon drinks at the Arena Club before hand and will be at the Restaurant by 6:00pm provided the Ukrainian army continue to retreat as fast as they currently are.
Please check the north Kurks again, all your "collegues" are reporting the russians counter offensive regained a very big portion of it. In your map all the red spots are advanced by the way to the south. Please check again thank you.
Nah... they can report whatever they want. I have my own SOP. I didnt see it when I mapped and recorded this video. But I already did mentioned probably 2 days ago or more, in the SITREPs; that the Ukrainian may have already abandoned the northern front, as there is a lack of reporting on any fighting in those regions. This is why you need to watch the SITREP. Frontline Changes Reports are just fast food. You want real cruisine, you watch the SITREP.
THOUGHTS OF A UKRAINIAN SOLDIER ON THE EASTERN FRONT: Best troops pulled out for the Kursk offensive, Russian aggressively advancing, Too many lost comrades, No experienced reserves left, Too few new reserves coming in, No retreat orders when in a meat grinder, No retreat orders when circled, Too much incoming fire, No rotation, Major supply roads getting cut, No air support, Little competent command structure left, No electricity back home, no more orthodox church allowed back home, too many Russian drones, Zelensky made rich by the West, Too close to death too often. No way to get home via the command except by becoming seriously wounded or dead. What is a Ukrainian soldier to do?
Thanks DPA. What I found funny at the start of the Kursk offensive was the Ukraine crowd saying the Russians needed to pull troops outa their Donbas offensive in the east. WHY would they need to pull units when they are a land power and have around 500k+ soldiers sitting in the Interior of Russia (20+km behind the lines)? Now we see what the Russians will do over the next 60 days until General Mud comes back (Rasputitsa).
They can't necessarily use all their troops. Using conscripts in the SMO is a complicated political matter within Russia. But given overall resources, extending the line of combat always creates more problems for Ukraine than Russia. Defensively Ukraine was much better off with a shorter front.
LOL I knew a japanese lady who had a hard time learning English we used to make her say.... Montgomery Wards....It was hysterical.....DPA with russian words is better then mine and Im English.
The Ukrainian air defense at least intercepts inbound Russian missiles/drones with their battery of power stations, fuel depots, ammunition dumps and weapons warehouses; the Ukrainian ground defense isn't even intercepting anything at all!
They are probably hoping that autumn rains will stop the advance but there are still at least two months until then, once it stops they hope they can negotiate and have a month or two until the ground freezes, but considering how last couple of years have been, warm, nothing new will start until Jun of 2025, so some 8 months of respite.
According to the latest report from Weeb Union, Ukraine has lost about 50 square kilometers of control in Kursk Oblast. It is evident that the deep state UA is vigorously concealing this fact. The simultaneous spread of news about the collapse of Pokrovsk and the contraction in Kursk in pro-Ukrainian Western media is a significant psychological blow to pro-Ukrainian sentiment.
If you haven't noticed yet, the US and collective West are doing everything to guarantee that there never are any peace talks. As soon as a possibility of any peace talk arises, another red line is crossed. This is how the war was started in the first place. NATO was never going to allow Ukraine in, but they knew it was a red line for Russia, so all they had to do is scream about letting Ukraine into NATO to trigger the response, knowing that verbal announcement is enough in this case because it would have been too late to respond if Russia waited for Ukr to actually join NATO. It would be Article 5 then. So it was and still is a carefully orchestrated war against Russia, peace is forbidden
@mannyc4224 Everyone that says Putin/Russia can leave Ukraine have 0 understanding of the conflict. If Putin/Russia walks away from Ukraine we are back at square 1 and even worse since Ukraine would definitely join NATO. So no, Putin leaving Ukraine won't help, it will get matters worse. Research the conflict.
@@DefensePoliticsAsia Yeah your not selling it to me, does the PR stand for public relations ? Is it in bold for click bait ? I mean more soldiers died in Bakhmut and also Advika, but no one ever said Russia failed the PR.
Again Zelensky is looking more and more erradic by the day. He now promised to revanged yesterday's russian strikes with F16s, but yesterday's strikes showed Ukraine is out of proper air defence. If he escalates too much we could see Russian Airplanes over Ukraine like never before. Last but not least lets keep an eye on belarussian forces in the north east
