The insane suicide operation makes Kursk the beginning of a rapid, total military defeat. We can only mourn the many dead soldiers on both sides. The powerful send the young men to their deaths. Very, very sad.
I don’t agree. The Russians are rapidly running out of cannon fodder. An incursion into Russia has shocked and weakened Putin, and has made the Russians have to replan their entire strategy.
So cool. Which NATO targets have been destroyed in last two years ? Which NATO countries have been attacked ? Which NATO formations are fighting ? Where is NATO navy, air force, missile forces ? Russian imagination because they need excuse for their corruption and incompetence.

Ukraine created stories, saying Russia is amassing 100 000 soldiers towards Sumy. That is when Ukraine rushed convoys of amored vehicles and tanks, with the pretext of waitng for Russian offensive. Instead, the plan was to invade Russia. Its only that Russia was relaxed and ignored the move.
If that was true it would make Russians seem totally incompetent. You are at war with somebody who is massing troop next to your lightly defended area of the line. And you do nothing because there is a......story. Clown show.

Also, coincidentally there was a demonstration in Kiev organized by families of soldiers "missing in action" in Krynky. Because in best banderite tradition Kiev marked most of the dead as "missing" to avoid paying pensions to the families.
Even Ex-Military Officers from US and Australia call this attack, non-strategic and pointless. Russia is now marching closer and closer to Pokrovsk. The whole Ukraine resistance in Donbass is counting on that area not to fall down because when it falls the whole Donbass will be captured by Russia.

This comment sounds right to me, but there is another way of looking at it. Since Fall 2022, my observation is that Zelensky intends to exhaust his resources of men and materiel; thus forcing the hand of NATO. Once his resources are at a low ebb, then the question arises as to whether NATO countries will allow Ukraine to fall and Russia to win. Poland and Baltic States have indicated their intention to get involved once Ukraine starts losing badly. If Russia responds aggressively to the incursion into Kursk and then threatens Kiev, other nations will have to intervene, or Ukraine falls...

6 min - "why is Russia not sealing this up?" They're starting to. Ukraine brought in 1,000 men, which is a significant amount. They're not terribly well supported with logistics and resupply, but they are elite troops. These aren't the guys they're kidnapping off the streets in Odessa and shoving into the trenches with 2 weeks of "training." These are the die-hards, the Azov guys, the true believers in the Neo-Notsee/Ukrainian nationalist cause. They're trained, healthy, and motivated. They intend to fight a guerrilla war doing sabotage operations and things that grab headlines. Putin called an emergency meeting regarding this, and my guess is he wants to crush this, but with his characteristic patience and thoroughness. He wants to minimize his own casualties. He has men deployed all along a 900 km front and they're making progress that he doesn't want to stop, so he's pulling extra troops where he can that won't affect the pressure he's putting on in Donetsk. That takes time to ensure he's got a competent fighting force and enough equipment (artillery, integrated anti-air and anti-missile systems, armor, resupply, etc) to clean this up, secure the area, and push out. He'll create a new buffer zone in front of Kursk after this with those troops. He is also planning for the civilian security situation afterwards. They need to rebuild assets, re-secure the area, and get people back in their homes and back to work. Ukraine has a real love of killing civilians and this is something Putin is intensely aware of. Preventing such attacks is a high priority. I would not be surprised if Putin pulled a whole brigade from the east and moved it to Kursk for this purpose. When he's ready, he'll move cleanly and decisively. He will not rush it trying in a panic to appear under control.
Good on you Sebastian. I totally agree with you on the poorly constructed sentences...where's the editor? And thank you for your informational videos. I always learn something. Keep it up. Cheers.

In summer 2023 , when the "counteroffensive" gained some 305 square kilometers , major Italian media wrote "Ukraine breaks through the front" (I'm italian) Now, the same media speak little or nothing about this incursion. The wind has changed and ukraine is doomed
Calling the Kursk offensive a success is like calling Ukraine a democracy. Lets see if Ukraine are still in Kursk by the end of August I doubt it if not the end of next week. Russian will use their reserves no need to pull troops from the front lines
I'm surprised Ukraine hasn't tried this tactic before now, but it is a waste of time, men and materiel, without multiple co-ordinated strikes and effective and overwhelming air defence and artillery. Russia has more than enough resources to deal with this single operation. Had they attacked in 4 or 5 area's of the border, with much larger formations of at least Division strength, this would have been a much more dangerous prospect for Russia, however it's unlikely Ukraine has anywhere near the resources required for that. Ukraine is simply continuing it's policy of needlessly throwing their resources into assured defeat.
@@peterr7321 Hmmm, seems my reply may have not made it. I'll repeat it. Hitler was trying to conquer, Ukraine hasn't a hope of that, so it can only hope to harass and harry the Russians and possibly force them to the table. Two very different strategies.
This incursion can't last 2 weeks, because Russian troops are arriving at the border and dey have been pushing Ukrainian troops back for the last 24hrs, Wagner troop have arrived and the special forces are arriving 🛬 too with heavy artillery and tanks. The problem Russia have is he shares alot or border with Ukraine and he's a very large country in total.
In regards to the nuclear plants, Ukranians have been behaving as thugs from the beginning of the conflict. They seem to be very keen on provoking a nuclear incident, blame Russia for it and trigger some kind of Western intervention. They're clearly desperate, but this is beyond stupidity and madness. Chernobil was not enough, apparently ...
It is obvious that many western leaders/politicians learned nothing from the lessons taught by WW II. Napoleon supposedly had said: In politics, stupidity is not a handicap!
Sevastopol Marines, former Wagner, Akhmat forces and the international Pyatnashka brigade do their job so that piggy squeals from the Kursk region can be heard all over the front. Being a prisoner of war in Kursk is more than winning the national lottery and for this you need to know the language spoken by Russians... It was at this moment that the French, British, French, Poles regretted that they had not learned Russian before going to Ukraine and walking through the fields that the Russians had cleared especially for them in the designated corridor.
It’s completely irresponsible for Ukraine to attack the Nuclear Power Station near Kursk, but Zelensky is unhinged and desperate enough to try anything to save his own skin and sacrifice his men and resources
@@heartthief313 Independent reports indicated that Zaporizhzhia was occupied by Russia when the nuclear plant station was attacked by the Ukrainians. Yes, it was another unhinged and desperate act.

It works every time, russia knew that the desperate Ukrainians would think that russia had left kursk unguarded, so eager to grab some brownie points, they poured their best effort into a trap. Russia makes very few mistakes, and this wasn't one of them.
Yes, as Scott Ritter would say, "It's all going according to plan.." . This would be plan number 820, called the "Let's have 100K of Russian citizens lose their homes and evacuate deeper into Russia" plan. This plan is intended to give Russian citizens an opportunity to sleep in great big circus tents, s**t in porta-potties, wonder if there is anything left of their homes, wonder how their children will go to school if the school has been destroyed, This plan is very nice because it will allow many Russian citizens to understand how the Ukrainians felt when Russia invaded Ukraine and think it is funny.
I don't know how long this will take, but I imagine not much time. Ukraine seems to do a excellent job taking over areas where there are no Russian forces, or where Russian forces have evacuated. What Ukraine seem to not be good at is permanently holding on to areas they have dug themselves into. Russia force's foothold into Ukraine is permanent, but Ukraine force's foothold into Russia, is temporary, and that is sure.
Well, didn't Afghanistan win against the US, even though the US is a nuclear power? What about Vietnam? The US did not use nuclear weapons despite losses. Are you implying Russia is less restrained, less morally conscience than the US and would use nuclear weapons against Ukraine?
I doubt that Zelenskiy has received more than 2 or 3 percent of the $200 billion allocated to the "Ukraine Project". That hardly seems fair. Zelenskiy is the one risking his life and reputation, yet 10% ends up in the pockets of "The Big Guy".
A report 8 hours ago stated 150 armoured vehicles and 22 tanks were destroyed! Now at an average of 5 personnel per vehicle equals 850 casualties. As most were hit by FAB bombs or Kornet anti tank missiles! Thus there must have been another 2500 infantry in the Blitzkrieg! Hence the myth of Russia pushing them back over the border in 48 hours is just not possible. One, total Ukrainian casualties must be around 2000 personnel suggesting that reserve brigades rapidly joined the incursion! Reports show Russian special forces arrived and halted the advance at its three points of advance, recapturing a small but significant area in all three locations. The next 48 hours should see the Ukrainians pushed back to within a few kilometres of the border.
Medvedev stated that they're aiming the entire Ukraine now, if they didn't used a nuke till now, as Ukraine didn't surrender, such as the japaneses in WW2, means that Russia wants to annex, or use Ukraine as a buffer state.
In fact I think this Kursk adventure will change the outcome of the war! I think now Russia realised that Ucraina must be in total control of russians! Thus I do not think Ucraina will exist in a whatever similar form at the end! Also at this moment ukraineans are using some of the best units they still have, that mean they will also loose a lot of them!!!! To expensive for a propaganda move! Or is pure 1d10cy, or something we still do not know!
Russia will let them flood the area with units, encircle them to create a nice cauldron, then give them a FAB ulous warm welcome. Maybe some 250s, 500s and possibly some 3000s. Once the invasion force has been turned to dust they will pay Sumy a visit.
Yea, sure ... :) The Patriot air defense system is nowhere near as effective as it could be simply because Ukraine doesn't have a homogeneous air defense umbrella. Thanks for tuning in and I wish you a great weekend.
In my opinion, leaving the relatively small border to the Kursk area was not a mistake on the part of the Russians. It was aploy, albeit it one the did not expect the Ukrainians to respond to. But the NPP was like a magnet. As it is, the Ukrainians have left their elite forces open to even more demiliterization.
Mr Sas, the regime sent 1000 men with 13 tanks and a convoy of different armoured vehicles. How on Earth no one on the Russian side saw this coming? Russia's military is professional and well-equipped and should have seen this and dealt with it before they reached the border. Just crossing into Russia amounts to a victory for the Kiev regime.
Considering Budonov is leading this with his elites, if they get stopped and take losses, these will be unreplaceable due to them being the best trained, equipped, and most fanatical.
I think the reason Russia didn't have a lot of troops near border is that a large group of people near border is easily noticeable and could be bombed, so they hide them somewhere deep in Russian territory. I believe same thing happened in Russian push in Kharkiv from the North, just the opposite sides. (It's just my personal thought on what might have happened, I'm not a professional)
This totally works in Russias favour as NATO sends all their resources into this incursion, Russia continues to advance all across the front in the south.
Russia had made a mistake. Russian intelligence was aware of the existence of the Ukrainian soldier group but did not respond to it. it's best to guard the borders with drones, satellites.
Fun Fact about Russia: It was Russia who saved The Union during the American Civil War as they sent their Navy to San Francisco and New York when England and France were just about to enter the war on the side of the Confederates since London created the Confederates. France was already in Mexico making a spear head movement to resupply the Confederates and to open up a Pacific Theatre and to create a port in California. England already amassed 11,000 troops and growing stationed at their Northern Confederacies border now called Canada ready to open a Northern Theatre to divert Union troops away from their Southern Confederacy then to attack The Unions naval blockade. The Union would have been completely destroyed and annexed by those two great powers leaving the Confederates to exist as either a puppet state of London or to be fully brought back into the fold of the British Empire. London was already courting (threatening/bribing) other countries to get involved like Spain while Russia was in talks with Prussia to ally with incase London was to intervene. Seeing all of this Tsar Alexander II wrote a letter to Queen Victoria saying “If you enter in this war it will be a casus belli for all out war with the Russian Empire”. The stage was set for the 1st World War and Russia stopped it. There is also a memorial in San Francisco for the hundreds of Russian sailors who came off their Asiatic fleet ships that died while helping the city put out a fire that threatened to lay waste to it during the War.
The Russian fleet also threatened to Shell Australian ports along with other British Pacific Colonies if Britain aided the Confederates. A confederate war ship spent a lot of time in Australian waters and was supported by the Australian public, some even signing on as crew members. This Confederate war ship laid waist to the US Pacific whaling fleet and is reported to have fired the last shot in the war. The name of the ship was called the CSS Shenandoah. Its surrender was at Liverpool England where Confederate Commander Bulloch was stationed. Bulloch was the head spy Chief for the Confederates and main go between for London, Montreal, and Richmond. He was heavily involved in the finance of the South with British banking and supplied the south with its warships as most of them were made by the British. He was good friends with those who drafted the Very discriminatory Confederate Constitution and those that would later create the 'Clan'. He was also heavily involved in the assassinations of Lincoln and his cabinet members. He was Also the Uncle to President Theodore Roosevelt (on his mothers side of course) and Teddy greatly looked up to him and learned much from him from a very early age. Teddy called him 'Uncle Jimmy'. This is where Teddy Roosevelt got the idea for the 'Eff Bee Eye' he modeled it almost exactly from Londons 'Em Eye Five'. Russia also helped Thailand (Kingdom of Siam) maintain its sovereignty from being completely Partitioned/Annexed from the British and French around the same time. The very word Thai (ไทย) means 'free man' in the Thai language which is partially to thank to the Russians as they might have ended up being a colony or part of another country/colony if not for their intervention.
@@JPJ432 At the beginning of the homeland war in 1991 (we can call it the war between Serbia and Croatia), we had no weapons in Croatia. The EEC (today's EU) and Great Britain hastened to impose an embargo on the import of weapons to the former Yugoslavia, so that embargo was also imposed on Croatia. Given that Great Britain was a member of NATO, the Americans almost certainly agreed with it. For us, it was practically a death sentence. In 1991, Croatia handed over the few weapons that the territorial defense had. We didn't have planes and helicopters. All the weapons were in the hands of the JNA (Yugoslav People's Army), which was under the control of Serbia. And who do you think helped us with the weapons? To help you, we ended the war with 24 MIG-21, MI-24, MI-8, MI-17 and S-300 helicopters. Here is what was written about it: "The business with Russia developed faster and faster, and large Russian transporters began to take off regularly from the military base some 200 kilometers east of Moscow. From 1992 until 1997, 150 to 160 flights were organized from Russia to the Republic of Croatia, and on average one hundred tons of weapons were transported per flight. General Agotić, although he constantly suspected that someone would trap us, was in the end overjoyed when the much-needed MIG 21s began to arrive. and with them, the Croats also received all the necessary weapons, various types of bombs, and hundreds of guided and unguided rockets. Planes flew through Hungarian airspace, and Zubak was on the planes several times. He testifies that several times they even saw American Awacs with their eyes only ten kilometers away. There was no problem. When the big Antonovs and Ilyushins entered the Croatian airspace, and it was almost always at night, the same trick was played many times - the Russian pilots always noticed that they had "technical difficulties" and asked the Zagreb flight control to allow them to land on some nearby airport. In 85 percent of cases, that "auxiliary" airport was the one in Pula, and the rest of the flights were directed to the airport in Krk. Coordinated teams in Pula and Krk managed to unload the aircraft in just four hours and the work was usually finished by dawn. The planes, and later the MI-24 combat helicopters, were then transported by trucks to Zagreb to the overhaul facility in Pleso and assembled. Along with the squadrons, the Russians also delivered a lot of spare parts and repair stations. Whenever it was necessary, dozens of Russian experts and pilots came to Zagreb to help with the overhaul and training of our pilots, especially for the MI-24 helicopter, on which our pilots had never flown before. Through Winsley, Croatia acquired 24 MIG 21, 17 transport helicopters, 11 MI-24 combat helicopters, 100 Fagot anti-armor launchers, several thousand rockets and bombs, several tens of thousands of Kalashnikovs and about 30 million bullets from Russia. Most importantly, the Russians had very decent prices. MIGs cost around $700,000 apiece, MI-24 flying gunships then, and even now, the most powerful military helicopter in the world, cost between $1.5 and $2 million a piece, and Kalashnikovs arrived at a price of $134 each . The work in which Zubakov Winsley was involved and which was agreed and paid for through Gojko Šušek, the Minister of Defense, and General Vladimir Zagorec, cost a little less than 100 million US dollars." @@JPJ432 It's hard to say. If I were to say that they help the weak and weak, would that be an exaggeration? It's probably an exaggeration, but maybe some truth could be found there. We were literally pushed into a hole by Great Britain (which by the way loves Serbia and the Serbian Yugoslav kings more than us), and the EEC (today's EU) wholeheartedly supported it. Maybe the Russians didn't like that. They did not have any special income. They sold the MIG 21 for $700,000. They still had to be careful not to get caught. At the end of 1995, at the military parade in Zagreb before the end of the war and before operations OLuja and Bljesak, we showed the S-300. Hello, 1995! The top of the peaks. Back then it was the most modern system. Serbia knew then that if we wanted we could target Belgrade. Maybe the Russians thought we would side with them, although I doubt it. They knew that we were more inclined towards America. I don't know, I really don't know, but I thank them for that. This is, for example, one of the reasons why, in relation to a topic, instead of immediately pointing the finger and saying "Aha!" So with that said even if you got your PR narrative achieved and western media lapping it up, what has changed on the more important issue of front line success in the rest of eastern Ukraine. A few weeks I would say...but Putin has to step it up. He must take a page fro Stalin's playbook....I think Putin knows this, you can't fight like the US did in Vietnam.
What surprises me the most is that Reuters does not report in the style: "Horrible! Alarm! Ukraine attacked Russia! Aggression! ", etc. - on the contrary, they sound as if they are approving of what they most strongly condemned two and a half years ago. Actually, I'm not surprised at all...😆
About them bringing in more forces into the breach, and the whole situation there are several things we need to take into consideration: The volume of the reinfocements on the UA side - the intruders are not that many in numbers, and the reinforcements are usually coming by 1-3 vehicles at high speed, many of which are getting intercepted by drones and rockets (plenty of video in tg), but as this area is not completely stabilazed, there is no stable line of contact or control, it is an episode of mobile warfare (or at least had been for 2 days before this evening), in which observation and interception is much harder, compared to when you have a stable front and regular supply routes you can keep an eye on and swiftly target when needed The manner in which the intruders "control" the territory behind the border - these are small platoons, staying mainly outside the villages in forested areas, so far it's hard to establish the area they will be able to hold sustainably, if there is any (potentially it's 2-4 villages covered by the river bend, but we'll see) At this stage the Russians have gathered forces in a semi-circle around the intrusion area at a medium distance, sending avant-garde troops to probe the area and establish a line of contact with the enemy, so that Russian units could keep their flanks covered as they start pushing the Ukrainians out.
