A strong competitive performance from Browning. Having said that, he actually executed three triple toes in this free skate, when only two were allowed. Triple axel/triple toe, triple toe (pulling out from the quad toe), and triple flip/triple toe. He also had 4 combinations in this program, with those two combos, plus a triple axel/double loop, and a triple salchow/triple loop. Though I'm guessing back then having four combinations was allowable unlike today. Regardless, he certainly went all out with this performance, giving it just about everything he could (sans the quad).
I always thought you can repeat as many jumps as you like as long as it’s in combination. Regardless, this LP is Kurt’s most technically difficult program he’s ever accomplished imo, even though he missed the quad.
