Kurt Busch lashses out at AP reporter Jenna Fryer during and after NASCAR press conference at Richmond on Spet. 10, 2011: To see the latest Kurt Busch video from Homestead go here: www.examiner.com/nascar-in-nat...
I'd hardly call Jimmie "So young" in this 2011 clip. He was already in his late 30's around 11/12 years ago. He debuted in Cup series in 2002 in his late 20's. But you were probably in your father's ball bags back then considering your user name.
I am fat too, I love NASCAR, and I really like Ryan Newman. He had an awful crash in the 2020 Daytona 500 ( that hideous year was so awful ) and he won the 2008 Daytona 500
The Busch brothers both come of as real jerks. The shame of it is that they are both excellent drivers who would be even better if they calmed down . I hope that time leads to maturity for these two very talented drivers. They should appreciate what motorsports has done for them.
This was during Kurt's most recent mental unraveling. Before he was done he had lost another top ride. This year (so far) he's managed to hold himself together, but the signs are there that his grip again isn't too tight. Before this year is over he'll probably come unglued again.
Same here, til I saw that Documentary Kurt did with speed tv, much more respect for the guy now. Everyone that has something against the guy should check that documentary out.
@Zariche1000 I don't think he realized that your post was the same comment in English then in Spanish, so it kinda looked to him like you switched languages in the middle of a statement.
I used to bash Kurt and Kyle with the best of 'em. But I've come to realize that NASCAR needs these two. And I'd honestly be disappointed if one of them were to disappear from the sport prematurely.
@kawi1167 it never stopped, we just had an awesome season of hard racing, your just stuck in the past. Drivers are different now. But the racing is just as hard, but the cars are alot different, but i do enjoy the old cars more.
PT 3 - I admit it is not the same demands on the body training for a triathlon and racing but to say a race car driver just sits there and turns a wheel is ignorant. An athlete is commonly defined as “a person trained or gifted in exercises or contests involving physical agility, stamina, or strength…” I don’t see how these drivers don’t meet these criteria. (Sorry bout the length)
PT 2 - What does brick laying have to do with anything? No one was arguing that any degree of physical work is sport, there are a lot of hard jobs and granted they are not considered sports. If you had raced you wouldn’t be showing such disrespect for other drivers.
@rjl1184 The Charlotte Observer was one. And in the press release directly from Shell it stated that they "utilize our motorsports program to gain technical knowledge for our products and brands and to promote them to consumers in a positive way." They will tell you that it was mutual, however many sources say that an ultimatum was given to Penske about Busch's actions. Inevitably, Penske had to make a choice, and they helped Kurt by saying it was mutual.
