I searched for this song. My father used and still is working for a boer for over 26 years, I'm 22 now and he used to bring home the cassettes for afrikaans music when I was as young as 4 years this was one of them and we would dance without even knowing any the meaning. I can't wait for him to hear this song after such a very long time😀
That is so sweet!! So amazing to find songs that are so sentimental. I feel like there’s so many South African songs that have been lost in time, so it feels so good to find them again!
Kurt Darren made my childhood. This song in particular we used for our revue routine in Grade 6 #laerskoolmeyerspark and that year we performed everywhere, but the best moments were when they'd bring him to the school to perform for us
I had this song a cassette tape growing up, lost it years way back but the song stuck on my head and I have been looking for it the artist responsible for for the song ever since. Finally today, my Afrikaans speaking friend understood what I was trying to sing all these years and told me me the name of the artist. Now the hardest part begins, butchering the Afrikaans lyrics 😂😂😂😂😂
Damn! SA has got talent am proud to be South African, the sooner we put the past behind the sooner we can all enjoy such good music at our festival as a rainbow nation.
My class and i in gr5 our teacher comes with a speaker we dance for the song even though we are black people Afrikaans is our last language we enjoyed it
Kurt this song really makes me miss South Africa terribly. You are one of SA top music artists, keep it up and bring out more songs like this, you are number 1 in my book.Proud to be South African......

MEISIE MEISIE LYRICS Ek weet sy's altyd daar Maar hoe vertel ek haar Sy's die rede ek dans soos die wind Man ja, ek weet ek staar O maar sy maak my klaar In my hart voeI ek weer soos 'n kind Koor: Meisie Meisie jy's deeI van my lewe Mooiste Meisie van Verlangebaan Meisie Meisie ek sien jou ek bewe Mooiste Meisie van Verlangebaan Meisie Meisie prinses van die dansvloer Mooiste Meisie van Verlangebaan Meisie Meisie ek voeI hoe my hart roer Mooiste... Meisie...
