I was thinking the same thing.....you know ' house concerts' are a big thing with aging musicians who just don't want to drive from city to city, from bar to bar. It pays GREAT. and it's easier than all that touring. When you're in Kurt, league or level, I sense that he MUST tour a LOT to make any money.....and let fact it:: we want to get paid. He's not hurting, two kids, a wife and a house. NO apparent vices that will drain his finances and leave him OD'd in a beat up tour buss. Pitchfork, which is sponsoring this, obviously paid for all the trappings, the house, which a t first, looked really nice -- I'm assuming it's' some sort of recording studio. You could. bring a whole band there in the middle nowhere, and upstairs -- look at all the bedrooms. Now that records are a thing of pass and most scoff at paying me music -- even me, at 63 -- I'm just not paying for it. I've bought enough LPS. Kurts's looking sweet these days....his independent label, which I know nothing about, takes care of him, and he can work. This is all made to look so easy -- but in reality, it's SO HARD to do well enough to make a good career of it --Good luck to those who try -- JMHO. thanks!
Just went searching for this. I was in a Kurt mode and was like where the hell did it go. Such an essential performance especially when you first get into him. Great to jam out to.
Saw him years ago in Houston. He reminds of Beck the emotionless way he played, stoic and stood still. was mesmerized and put under a trace Kurts music is a sedative for me.

What I want to know is what happened to his recorded solo performance of "Baby's Arms". I dont know if it was pitchfork who featured it, but I do remember it was from about late 2009 to early 2010, and kurt was performing in what looked like a backyard around a fire pit. My minds ear flutters from the thought alone.
No Joke, I've probably watched this more than I can count on 2 hands! It's awesome. I had it on heavy rotation for a while and now I'm coming back. Kurt Vile is an artist that I liked immediately. My first song was Bassackwards and I have not looked backwards since. Honestly, I'm so grateful this is on RU-vid. I read in the comments that Pitchfork removed it! I can't believe they'd do such a thing. I'm glad there are people looking out for people who already appreciate this and those who will appreciate it.
KV just brightened my day, world, year. He’s just so talented and just keeps churning out top top tunes all the time. Long live KV, way to go👍🏼👍🏼This concert is just ace👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
360p??? I too did not realize this gem was stripped from RU-vid. Can we get it at a higher res? Unbelievable that they'd pull this down off the legit site.
I'm 52,started going to shows since the age of 2. My biggest regret is not staying for this guy on November 8, 2019 at the Criterion in OKC. Dinosaur jr opened and that's who I wanted to see. Biggest regret.
Wooow! Thanks for this piece of art… I’ve just found out Big Indian Springs: what a beautiful place! What beautiful people, too. Kurt is soooo lovely, so professional, such a beautiful soul he is! ♥️ the Violators 🖤🤟🏽 ps: anybody can tell what is the second name (surname) of the guitar player, Adam? I had a beautiful conversation with him, in Prato, Italy 🇮🇹 talking about music… he used to play in a band called Sunburned hand of the Man, check it out! PS2: How many times have I used the adjective “beautiful “? 😂 WE LOVE KURT VILE AND THE VIOLATORS! Wooo 😎👋🏽✨ Shine on you💫
Thank you this is quite Wonderful so glad you shared... Very nice. Please for the Record please tell me you used some kind of " fossil fuels" to construct your very enjoyable presentation. I am stuck behind enemy lines in Commiefornia and I sometimes look for reality checks wherever one might find active synaptic arrays.... Please verify if possible.... Thank you again...... Especially Sharing....
