I can't really even begin to describe my love for Kurt Vile. The catalog is so vast at this point, i can never tire of his music. It will be with me forever and I can't wait to see what comes next.

i dont think itd be dry. j usually is like that cause interviewers ask him dumbass questions he doesnt care about. when hes interested about the subject (guitars, gear, etc) he does talk

+jazzblaster I read an interview in Guitar World of him and Kevin Shields back in the early 1990s and i found him to be rude and uninteresting . He seemed back then to be just another alternative rock elitist , saying the usual dumb shit like "i dont really like the guitar" and talking about how unhappy he was. I am not really into Dinosaur Jr. or at least what i have heard of them but i respect all music. I was just not impressed with him as a person Just my 2 cents.

When I was teen, I loved Page, Blackmore, Schenker. Now, my favorites are guys like Kurt. As we age, we realize that speed and fast fingers do not necessarily mean great. A tasteful, simple finger picked melody is far better than lightning fast runs.

if you want the real lineage of those guys, especially jansch, look up Davey Graham. He wrote Anji and did a lot of cool stuff with trad english music and DADGAD tuning

I half agree, there's something totally raw and emotive about grahams playing that I think jansch cant duplicate. But you're totally right he definitely expanded on what graham did.

Jordan Quimby I wouldn't call it being underrated as much as forgotten. First song on Aerial Boundaries shows you right away the man's a huge talent. Saw him twice live. Both times COMPLETELY different.

+XcccVcccX It's social anxiety, I've been watching his live shows for the past few days and I feel like that's why he is so fidgety and not keeping eye contact, i could be wrong but this is exactly how I act when meeting new people and it's can be worse when i'm high but that depends on the high.
