Hi Hank! Currently typing this in dentist waiting room again! I got here too early! Visit number six in as many weeks, which also including filing down the ragged stump of that broken tooth in the fall whilst on holiday. Because of my bone condition and medicine that I have have been given by a drip infusion in the past there is a real risk of the jaw bone developing necrosis which is very nasty and hard to fix. (i made a video of that procedure while I was given this infusion once with the infusion via the back of my hand, I believe it was around September 2019). I have found a dentist that also does operations in hospital and reconstruction surgery and stuff, so he is much more experienced and qualified than your basic family dentist. Because I can't have teeth extracted I have had to have root canal excavation of a tooth's nerves as it kept on getting reinfected, and I kept on having super strong antibiotics which made me rather poorly and brought on insomnia and horrible nightmares when I did sleep. Instead of using the usual electric drill he has carefully did it all by hand going up in "four drill diameter sizes" and going down 24 mm, whilst doing frequent xrays. Then he packed that hole with some special antibacterial stuff that also has some other magic properties and covered it with a temporary cap. That took about 80 minutes once the anaesthesia had kicked in. And that hurt my back and neck more than anything, and a few days after that procedure i got a minor gum abcess, so more antibiotics, again!. Today he is checking how everything is and taking off the temporary cap and going "up one more drill size", doing X rays and then once he is 100% sure there is nothing left to potentially get infected again he will bung up the hole permanently. The infusion that I've been having since 2015 is to help stop bone degeneration generally. This known side effect happens to only the surface of the jaw bone. The bone itself will be healthy and strong but the natural outside coating of the bone which is the thickness of paper becomes less flexible and if damaged takes longer to heal. Because of the amount of bacteria that breeds very quickly in your mouth you can potentially get an infection in the jaw bone that can cause bone necrosis. The only way to stop this is to cut it out, like a cancer growth, but when that even bigger hole is healing the risk of reinfection and necrosis again is even higher, leading to more of your jaw and face being cut away. This would need a lengthy stay in hospital in a super sterile room , a sterile as an operating theatre!. I have refused to have those infusions recently, the last one being that Sept 2019 video. Being called in to dentist now😱... Back home now! 65 minutes in the dentist chair and a the x-ray showed it was successful. Horray!😁 By a weird coincidence, when I got home there was a letter waiting for me from my osteoporosis specialist consultant of rheumatology, asking when I might want another infusion. The main reason for the infusions is to help strengthen my bones generally especially my hips and spine which scans show are the problem areas. I walk with a walking stick for short distances and use a wheelchair or battery powered mobility thing for longer distances. But despite this I have managed to break my left foot about ten years ago, and also fractured my back in five places. My spine is especially fragile at the top and the bottom, which you can notice if you look at me in profile, especially the top bit. Because my spine is so bent I've lost about three inches in height and I'm now only six foot tall!. The drug they use is called Zoledronate in the UK and I'm planning to not have any more infusions for a further three years. This will make it five years in September 2014 since my last infusion, and then there should be none of the drug in my body and the jaw bone should be back to normal enabling normal dental procedures. There are blood tests that can confirm this. Then, I might just have all of my remaining teeth removed, and replaced with permanent implants. Then I can go back on the infusions to help protect my spine, and more importantly, my spinal cord. I have regular MRI scans to make sure that my spinal cord is in a good position and not under any threat. Currently I've been told that on that side of things it's not even close to becoming a problem. I understand that cancer patients frequently have these infusions too because chemotherapy destroys bones. I read one person's story about having necrosis because of this infusion, and will link it later here for you to look at if you want...if I can find it again. I hope that you are doing well Hank, I've noticed that Florida isn't doing so good on the covid front and wondered if you've been vaccinated. A lot of younger people that aren't vaccinated who are getting covid here, once recovered from the primary problems, seem to be be suffering from terrible long term chronic problems which they call "long covid". The symptoms of this are very similar to my fifteen year long problems and health battles that started after I had shingles, followed almost immediately by glandular fever which knackered nearly every body system. My disease , for want of a label, they call "post viral chronic fatigue syndrome" , which does not describe the severity of my problems at all. I've met a few people like myself at the specialists outpatients, including a nineteen year old girl, and a couple of blokes in there thirties, and one guy older than me . We are all different in minor symptoms and problems, but the same with the various types of pain, and the dreadful fatigue that can prevent you from doing most things . The incapacitating fatigue/exhaustion can hit you suddenly and without warning, stopping you doing anything, even the ability to talk. I expect it to happen at any moment today , as even getting washed and dressed can do me in for the day. I will take my K2000 into my grave. Period. Awesome sounds btw! Although honestly, there are much better ones. Even for a ''standard'' K2000. Most of them can be found in free libraries/websites dedicated to this beauty. Anyways, happy playing mate & keep up the demos! Cheerio
