Kurzweil has the best sounds, but a set-up keeps me up all night--every time. All I want are piano/Rhodes in RH and bass in LH (acoustic and electric), and it would be a huge plus if at least one of the bass sounds included a ride cymbal. That's it! I once got that set-up on a Kurzweil K1000 (when it was made in Japan). Unfortunately, I played it into the ground (all of the glued weights broke off). I'd pay some young techie to come and set it up for me (really!). I have trouble believing any of the Kurzweil engineers have heard a jazz trio--Oscar Peterson, Red Garland, Wynton Kelly, Monty Alexander, The Three Sounds. That's the sound some of us work hard to approximate but, especially with the shortage of on-site playable acoustic pianos, Kurzweil could certain offer us more help. Maybe the problem is that Tony Bennett is the only major artist these days who dares to employ mainstream, 4/4, walking-bass SWING (the word has disappeared for good reason--no one has need to use it--either as a noun or verb).
hello, That's great and I like the sounds! :) I have a question, maybe you can help. I have Kurzweil PC3 76, can I load (and use) these sounds to PC3? or do you have such format, what I can use on PC3? Thank you very much for your help.
Is there any way you can share how to create that kind of user setups? It's amazing the way you get them to mimic the sounds in DT's albums. If you downloaded them or (even better) if you put layer after layer until the last result... It'll be awesome to get those sounds in my pc1x. Thank you for such a nice vid. Greetings from Mexico.
@@carlobuongiovanni7934 Yes, there is and it is also for PC2X which have more layers and effects but it can be used for PC1X as well. I' found it on internet, long time ago and now I'm trying to find it on internet and I can't, but I have it in my PC and can share it with you if you want.
Hey this is years after your video, I know....but the PC1X has so little info on the internet. Can you help me reach the settings for the ribbon and how to control them please. Thanks!
I think you can only change ribbon settings in setup mode, not program, in the same menu where you can Edit what you want to do with pedals/knob/sw buttons etc...
@@novaXire Thanks for the reply! Yeah, I had messed around with those settings but I must not understand what I'm doing because it is not sounding as it should with the parameters I'm setting. Or the ribbon is messing up. I'll download the manual though! Thanks for helping.
