kusTVadventures. Hill End prospecting trip. Gold panning and crevicing for gold.
It's been over a year since my last trip to Hill End, NSW Australia so thought it was time to get back out there.
The first spot I stopped at to gold pan was at the Hill End commons, unfortunately, the water was almost nonexistent but tried a bit of crevicing with a few gold specs showing them selfs.
I moved on from here and did some more crevicing and panning a few k's upstream, again only a few specs.
On the second day of the trip we decided to do a hike to a spot which had plenty of bedrock. We parked at coles bridge and walked about 3km's to the spot and with limited time (about an hour) found some gold but I'm going back as I know there's going to be some nice gold there, heaps of bedrock and crevices.
Well that was the trip in a nutshell, found some gold, scouted some nice bedrock and crevices for another trip where the focus is gold prospecting and had a look at the history of the area. All in all a great trip.
