Great video!! So for PvE only, run Kutum til 249ap, then switch to Nouver for 261ap, til 273ap Nouver, switch back to Kutum for 261ap. Then for PvP, Eva runs Kutum, and DR runs Nouver. Pretty simple, thx again, great video!!

For people watching this before oasis ends, you can always pick up a tri Ramones from Elle (oasis vendor) The tri Ramones is a tri Nouver. That's 1 silver for 10 or 11 AP! I used one temporarily to hit 261 a while back
nice content. may i request a guide on how DR works? evasion vs accuracy is all over the net already. cant find any dr guides(about how its damage mitigation works).
You left out an important benefit Kutum has, which is 10% resistance penetration, which is an important offensive factor. Landing a CC means certain win in many cases. At that point, your AP really does not matter so much. CC means death.
This is true but never has 10% resist, and sometimes resisting the second cc means living. I pretty much didn't discuss it because there are benefits to both offhands passives just in different scenarios
I think you have missed the part that we get a flat % damage reduction from DP alone, aside from the eva/dr relationship. And dr players can easily break opponent's hitcap with endgame gear+%30 special evasion.
The extra 2% flat damage reduction wearing a kutum instead of a nouver isn't worth the ap loss. Sure you get tankier, but the trade off isn't even close to worth it
@@ImChoice it is way more than %2 doe, DP by itself gives players %1 damage reduction per 1 DP. 1 AP: 1% damage inc 1 DP: 1% damage reduction 2 DR: 1% damage reduction 4 Eva: 1% miss rate 4 Acc: 1% hit rate
@@nathrizarri that sounds wrong, Wasnt it like something like 1DR = 1AP and something like 3 ACC = 4 EVA. % values here make no sense at all (outside of the DP % brackets ofc). Also special evasion isnt EVA, its a multi for down, back, air attacks etc...
@@lowkeylokii4205 yes a bracket later on is 5DP. But 5DP = 1% DR is wrong. DP NEVER diractly gives you a % reduction ever. View both, the DP and the Brackets as 2 seperate stats.
The important part about the PVE 253k vs 261n thing is that you could just save the money buying a TET Nouver to up your AP to 261k, It isn't worth the tax
Tet Nouver is less than 2b, but during oasis event you can pick up a tri Nouver for 1silver which pushed me to 261 temporarily a while back. Tri Ramones is tri Nouver, it only has 2 AP less than the tet Nouver.
Choice but what if I'm on already on 309 + bracket on kutum with Dr gear? It's not better for pvp then nouver .. i mean is it worth having more then 309 AP ? How really DMG increase from sheet AP ?
Hey Choice, nice vid! What i kinda miss in this Nouver vs Kutum debate is the ingore resist vs the extra resist. Kutum gives ignore resist which i realy miss when playing a DR grabber, (like war) how would u weigh these stats?
If ur a new player don't have enough gear to pvp effectively just get tet kutum or the seasonal tuvala offhand till u can pvp then just buy a pen nouver. So u won't lose much money for switching back to tet kutum once u hit the tet kutum 261ap barracks
Thanks for the vid! Just curious, does the actual DP number contribute to defense in any way? For example (theoretically), (500DP and 100DR) vs (600DP and 100DR) will the 2nd combination receive less damage? I used high DP numbers to get the brackets out of the way.. I have seen some reddit sources say that 1DP = 1DR, but that was some time ago.. Thanks!
No. Sheet DP only helps you hit brackets. Your total actual DR is what's important. Sheet DP can either be DR, or it can be evasion - it depends on the item. If for example you have an item that gives you 1 extra sheet DP, but that sheet DP is 1 evasion, and you are a DR build so the 1 extra evasion won't cause people to miss you anyway, and that 1 sheet DP does NOT hit a bracket for you - then you could say that the 1 sheet DP in this case has zero effect.

@@Playtist every AP helps the same. Sheet AP can I pick bracket AP, but it's all the same. Just add sheet + hidden ap and that's your total and higher is more.
The kutum extra damage to monsters is only applicable to monsters only right because there are different kind of monster damage for example like humans , demi humans , kama monsters etc. Will kutum be applied to all monster damage ?
Yes, since they are all mobs. And also it's not monster dmg, it's monster AP which scales the same as normal AP except only for pve. The dmg for a specific species stacks with the monster AP ( dmg * .85 = ap it grats ) hence why people usually stack human dmg crystals/pvp addons with monster AP addons at spots like bloody monastery
Where would you say the difference is noticeable. I'm 301 nouver and if I go with a pen kutum, would I notice a difference in damage at certain grind spots?
Choice can you please explain why you want a pen militia vambrace so bad? it's a white grade weapon so I think it would be trash. Please explain why they are so good, it doesn't make any sense. it must be good because you want it so bad you spend billions on it and fail over and over but you don't give up. Please explain why it's so good?
I have a pen griffon as well but it's on my tag character, heve out preforms griffon in a hybrid build so I keep it around. The only reason it's on my tag is because I lost a harphia on the tag heve
Haven't watched the video. But regarding PvE there is no questions asked. Kutum is better beyond 261, and will only get better the higher you go. You could even argue it's hardly worth it the few 2 brackets nouver is better in considering how fast you go through those brackets. You shouldn't ever use your nouver for pve. And as much as kutum is better in pve, nouver is in pvp. No questions asked, unless you hard memeing in full eva gear you don't ever, and i mean fucking never use a kutum in pvp. The difference is clearer than night and day.
