Dear Ying - I will tell you that you were created perfectly and being born gay is not a flaw or defect. As a gay Hmong man myself, I have faced some similar struggles with regards to navigating my innate self and how that may be received by other Hmongs. Luckily, I was blessed with very loving gentle parents who never physically hit us, and am surrounded by all my loved ones’ unconditional love and support. I do consider myself lucky. Made me cry so much. Hearing a coming-out story in the Hmong language is so important. Spread love, awareness, and acceptance. The Hmong community is very capable of loving every child and doing better as humans.
I am proud of you! Use you pain and suffering to help others. There is no compassion or knowledge like the pain and suffering we have gone through; it is wisdom earned. Go be great! Be you! I don’t know you but my heart loves you and embraces you. Hugs. I am a mother of 2, my children are in their 30’s and I love them unconditionally and will be happy for them as long as they are happy. Life is hard enough and as parents we need to help our children navigate through the confusing times. ❤
Dear son I also a Hmong parents too I known how you felt and how much pain you had been through already I support you because I understand the word being gay is not you want be but god just create you to be like that nobody’s know, and see because it was just the feelings stay inside deep down in side your heart that your father can’t see that’s why he unable to accept the word gay but is not mean that he hates you or didn’t love you anymore remember that parents provide all the love for their children’s and expect the only the good things return back to them so keep in mind that your parents love you always so to me why you and your dad should see family conserving may be it may help your father understand you for being a gay let other men or someone outside the family explain for your father so he will not fell so bad ok thank you for sharing your story.

So sad. I cried listening to this. I have a gay child too and I’ve accepted and love my child. I am so sorry to hear of your story. It is not your fault. Love yourself and live for yourself sending you love.
That’s really sad so sorry that your parents hatefulness about you being gay that’s so unfortunate on their part as a parents so sorry for your heartaches heartbreak of course that’s not a ideal situation but still you are their son you should’ve at least a little understanding & supported from your parents.
