Thank you for the very informative video. Friend of mine recommended this rod to me for light soft lures for bass fishing in the sea. I was about to order a light reel for it but then I came across your video and you pointed out that the balance will be great with 4000 size Fuego. Great tip, appreciate your advice. Tight lines.
Great video Andrew,I believe the ⚡sticker is mostly a warning not to fish during the stormy weather because of the lightning. Keep up the great work, really enjoying your videos. Would love to see some sea spinning or/and jigging videos.
hello Andrew, I'm very happy that we have got someone like u on RU-vid, I've just ordered 762S and 862MH which one will be better for trout fishing, thanks in advance and keep doing your job because I think this is one of the best fishing channel on yt💪👌
Hi, Thanks for a good word. Actionwise those both Superlite rods are good Trout for my taste. Just that they are both longer rods and really meant for some bigger and more open waters. For example my bread and butter when it comes to Trout fishing are streams not wider than 3-5 m. and covered with brush. So, I use something 1.8 m. max. Cheers
Hi Andrew, lovely video! I am interested in buying this rod, but i am wondering if i am able to comfortably manipulate and jig 15 gram metal jigs with it? I know you said you overloaded to 18 grams, but i was wondering about specifically using it while shore jigging with 15 gram jigs? Regards
Could you make comparison of light version and this medium hard? I own this harder one so i want to see deference. Kuying teton MK2 (green) is also in my collection so i didny want to buy SuperLight in L version.
As an informal asssessment, would you recommend the casting version for use with a Calcutta Conquest BFS as a pier fishing rod in the salt? (Both soft and hard baits)
Don’t get too obsessed with having a ‘perfect’ setup. I started lure fishing for pike with a four piece travel rod and a bait runner carp reel. Now I’ve got a couple of proper lure rods and reels, they don’t catch me any more fish but are just slightly nicer to use 👍
@@andrei_porumbei_hey_hey just start with what you can afford you don't need to spend a fortune on a spinning set up i started on a 8ft 5 to 20 gram casting weight and a basic shimano 250 size reel there are plenty of good deals around Andrei,
@@andrei_porumbei_hey_hey - I didn’t suggest telescopic rods, but you can cast small lures with pretty much any rod using a fixed spool reel (not sure about baitcaster reels, don’t like them personally). I’ve got a 150g rod for heavy lures but that’ll easily cast a 7g jig fly as far as I need to. Saves me carrying two rods about when I want to experiment with different lures.
