I think its too slow in fast battles. the 85mm gun is way better because she is precise and fast shooting and deals more damage than derp gun lol. and due to the update where low tiers received more HP you can mostly not oneshot tanks with derp anymore :(
I absolutely loved the KV-1 with the derp gun. Load HEAT even though it's filthy expensive and it's like the old KV-1S in a way. 370 alpha at tier five is ridiculous, like the equivalent of 800 alpha on a tier ten
@@scottmurray8483 you're right. i have get as much as possible from christmas slot while it's still available. i would sell it if i didn't have xp boosters. su 100m1 was so much better. this one can't work in same position where T7 was amazing. what do you think about top gun on su101? i unlocked second gun, but i still play with 320dmg one. it seems to be not worth it based on stats
@@celd7688 yes tier 7 is like a mini 268 v4 loved playing it. The su101 is just a slog tho nothing really likeable about it. I did what u are doing with boosters and didn't take long with 5x xp too. Some games I got over 10k xp. Have already researched the 2nd gun on the 263 and recon I will have the v4 researched by Monday without using gold to convert. I have the 268 but enjoy the aggressive assault playstyle of the v4 line 😁
So much su101 slander!! i think the tank is better than everyone gives it credit for, the 440 dmg top gun has great penetration with standards and heats as well. it is relatively fast and very sneaky, and angling the armor can bounce same and lower tier tanks too. my biggest complaint is the accuracy because i have to use aiming device in the firepower slot just to hit anything :/
Logged into the game last night after being away a while. 8 straight losses with XVM telling me the strongest team out of the entire 8 had a win chance of 39%. That's correct. EIGHT games, best chance 39% and of course that was a loss too. Played tanks from tier 5 and 6, then tier 9... same result. Games were over in an average of 3.5 minutes. Just roll stomps. I quit after game 8. My win rate has fallen to just over 53% in the past few months since I don't play much any more and matchmaking went out the window. Lots of fun, right Wargaming? And by the way Wargaming, wondering why I quit giving you money and quit playing regularly? Have someone read the above to you... s l o w l y.
I play every day, yet MM does the same thing to me almost every day. It'll let me win and lose about equally and then put me in a long losing streak. I just log out and come back a few hours later and resume winning. Unless I'm grinding a new tank, I usually end the day with a 55% to 65% win rate. But, if I'm grinding or training a crew it's usually 50% or just under.
@@skill4ltuextra I know that. It appears NO ONE can give Wargaming a wakeup call. The game must be doing fine getting in new players and making them a ton of money since it is still going on. But they won't get any more money from me.
Kv-1 platoons running the 57mm and spamming gold are one of the filthiest combos in the game. You are just as lethal vs t7 which makes it so devastating. Thank goodness its not well known. The derp is crap.
They do this on the SA server a lot. Professional seal clubbers who rarely play above tier 5 will come into a match with a 3 man platoon and wade through the competition like a pack of wolves. The "THUGZ" clan is one of the worst! You'll have those platoons with 8,000 to 11,000 WTR ratings going against noobs with 2,000 to 3,000 WTR and it's no match at all. Filthy!
good video Skill. What gun is my favourite? The 85mm/160dmg as I feel it the most versatile one - good damage dealing, good penetration and still decent handling + accuracy. The other 2 guns have only the gun-handling and penetration with premium ammo for 57mm or the damage for the 122mm. this does not hide the fact that 85mm has the lowest dpm of the 3 guns but the dpm is still competitive for tier 5 tanks
yeah but dpm only works if you are shooting immediately after reloading, If you were to sit in front of the Derp KV-1 the 57mm will lose, IF he bounced a round then the 57mm will win. I'm not sure about the 85mm maybe if you bounced some of the 57mm rounds it might win.
Earlier today I watched a KV1 with a derp gun wipe out my team with 7 kills. My very next premium mission was the one where you have to kill 4 tanks in one battle. That KV1 gave me the solution, so I mounted the derp gun and hit "Battle." Tier V matchmaking, but only 11 tanks on each team (It was early morning). I killed 7 of the 11 tanks for a win, with 3,200 damage! I fired nothing but gold ammo, never bounced a shot and still had a profit of $5,000 credits. Even if it had cost me credits it would've been worth it to finish that mission. It's rare when I can kill 4 tanks in one battle and it usually happens before I ever get to that mission. So, I think I found my solution for the "Destroy Four Vehicles in a Battle" mission!
the 57mm is just .. suppressive any poor bastard who gets caught in the open under it is just pecked to death and criticallly crippled in under 10 seconds and 15 second later its just dead. lol
57 mm is a nice option for new players, when you do the grind and have a bad 75% crew. You get better accuracy and can just spam rounds like crazy... at least some of it will hit. And in close combat it can be a nasty surprise due to the better DPM. O nce you have a reasonably good crew, I think the 85 mm works better. And the 122 is just special.
I find it funny that kv1 derp gun has better gold pen with 122mm than kv2 152mm derp gun. It is hilarious how the derp tanks were castrated. I played this tank with the derp gun because i was just clearing my way to get to the kv2. Well atleast i got double penetrator tanks thanks to playing with kv2 and kv3. I wonder why they dont just put kv2 in to the collector tanks.
I find it funny that you dont know that both derps pen is Unchanged from year 2010. Also AP mechanics differ from heat mechanics. I find it funny you dont know that either
I love the KV-1 with the 122mm U11 Gun, my best result was 10 Kills and 4489 Damage in a Top Tier Battle. The tank is reminiscent of the old KV-1S at Tier VI...except that the KV-1 is Tier V and in combination with the good armor...the strong HEAT with 140mm penetration and 370 alpha damage and an experimental turbo or a bond turbo, the mobility is also very good for a tank of this size...I would say that the KV-1 is one of the strongest Tier V tanks...apart from the Pz V/IV and the M10 RBFM. I have played the tank myself over 300 battles with a win rate of 57% and after 3 gunmarks I would say that I know how to play the KV-1. Thanks for the video skill!
Lol. Plays games and bounces like crazy. I play my kv1 and everyone running gold and pens me like crazy. You didn't show the 57mm gun in close quarters against other heavies. Its crap in that scenario.
grinding this tank at the moment and I am enjoying the spankings I am giving with the Derp GUN. Now I have a question skill, you keep stating frre to play accounts in alot of your videos. I got this tank a month ago and hate it. I just cant make it work for me at all. I do love killing them with my Matilda though (If they don't get me first). P.S "squeeze butter out of shit" Made me laugh. That is an excellent phrase.
skill 2nd game derp gun this is probably the best t7 mm you can get. first of all their top tier is KV13 collector vehicle instead of KV3. Not to mention E25, skoda t25, achillies, cromB are extremely paper armored tanks and easy HE pen. Basically you can HE pen like 4/5 of the enemy team.

the Derp KV-1 was quite an experience for me when marking it back in the day. It's kinda OP for its tier. But the KV-1S when it was still in Tier 5 was just better and more of my style. Maybe Skill needs to revisit the current KV-1S, that's sadly wrongfully placed in tier 6. Now it's just a pack of free experience and barbecue.
Almost 3 marked this tank, played all guns, prefer 57mm, 1.88 second reload with rammer is insane when you start bursting people they shit themselves real quick 😮
I like the 85 mm. Used to play with the derp but since the HE got nerfed I reconsidered my choices and went for the 57 mm. But after some testing I found that gun lackluster and finally landed on the 85 mm. But, but, but. No! If I want to play derp I rather play the VK 105 mm if I want dpm I go with the Churchill 3. Alpha is king.
I LOVE my Kv-1, rode that 122mm herpa-derp gun til '17, then I switched to the 85mm. Funny- I run binocs on mine as well because I see a lot of tier 6/7
I love how Skill is first casually talking about how bad it is to snipe with the 85mm gun while smacking everyone from 480m distance and after that proceeds to flank the enemies in a KV-1. Day 28 of asking for a video with the Jagdpanzer IV.
I just got back in this tank. The deep gun is very satisfying at close range. As a sniping gun it is a very looping shot. Takes some getting used to. But 360 us pen is fun.
