In 1938 Soviet tank designers came up with the best heavy tank design in the world - the KV-1. Far from perfect, this 45 ton rolling behemoth would kick start a series of hugely impressive and incredibly influential vehicles, going from the KV-1 all the way up to the KV-14 and beyond. The KV Tank, this behemoth of steel boasted unparalleled resilience, becoming a nightmare for German forces. However, its own bulk and sluggishness proved to be its Achilles' heel, rendering it obsolete when compared to the nimble and versatile T-34. Seeing extensive combat in the Second World War against the invading German army, the KVs would join the T-34 in forming the core of the Red Army's modern armoured spearhead, and would be developed further into the iconic IS series. This is the first of a two part series, with Part 2 looking at the KV-2. This video will also take a look at the KV-2 in Warlord Game's Bolt Action rule set, looking at the statistcis for the vehicle and I show case the model I painted. The question is whether this beast is worth having in a list build.
