I would like to ask a question on my lakes boone lake and watuga lake the water is really clear and right now boone lake is a river because the dam has a sinkhole under it and the bass are there on the bank crusing but I can not get a single one to bite a jerkbait or a spinnerbait or anything else in my tackle inventory but the minute I put a live crawdad on or a live minnow they eat it up so I was wondering what could I use to catch these bass besides live bait

Justin Peters Stay way off of them and cast small swimbaits, spy baits and other very natural finesse presentations. The key is staying way away from them. IF you are close enough to see them, they are on the defensive. They let their guard down a little when livebait comes into play.

snap the rod the the side and down. high enough to clear the bank

slowfaller lol same here but IL makes you a good fisherman if you put in the work I usually can smack em anywhere I go in the country IL has a good mix of lake variety we have crystal clear, super murky everything in between and heavy weeds, gravel pits, rivers, creek, farm ponds, but we don't have giants in many species too warm for great smallies and too cold for great largies, but we have a huge variety of species too

What color would you use if the water is murky?

A general rule of thumb is the cleaner and clearer the water, the more transparent your colors. And the darker, dingier the water the more flashy colors like chromes and white or other solid side colors. Colors like Clown can be good in both clear and dingy water especially if there are smallmouth around. Seems like they like loud flashy colors no matter what clarity of water.
