Pod jutrovo skalo priteče na plan,
dih gozda in polja pospremi jo v svet,
še mlinom in žagam kolesa vrtet,
spomina rodovom polaga na dlan.
V grapi ledena stoletja ječe,
pomladi pa šmarnic cvetovi sijo,
proseče, še listi svoj ples odpojo,
nemirni z valovi u daljo hite.
Ob rajski lepoti popotnik postoj,
korak za korakom zavriskaj, zapoj,
dotakni se sonca, nam svetla je luč.
S pogledi objemaš ta biserni raj
lepota povabi te znova nazaj,
a slišiš zvoniti od daleč še, Ave?
Avtor Andrej o nastanku pesmi pove naslednje: "Ker radi povemo, od kod prihajamo, sem iskal navdih v naši soteski Vintgar in reki Radovni. Kot otrok sem spomladi zahajal na neobljuden del levega brega reke Radovne nabirat zvončke in že takrat me je narava navdihovala in objemala z vsem bliščem svoje lepote. Ob pisanju besedila so se spomini in občutki v meni spet prebudili. V prvih dveh kiticah povsem spontano govorim o prečudoviti lepoti narave in pokrajine, v tretji in četrti pa nekako želim navdihniti "popotnika", naj sam najde skrivnosti, ki nam jih ponuja naš biserni raj".

THE RADOVNA RIVER - Kvintet Vintgar
Under the morning rock out into the open she flows,
the breath of the forest, the fields see her into the world,
on her way to spin the wheels of mills and saws,
she lays a memory in the palms of generations’ hands.
For centuries, she moans frozen in the ravine,
while in spring, lilies of the valleys’ petals shine,
and pleadingly, the leaves finish the song of their dance,
restlessly running along with the waves, out into the distance.
Oh, halt dear traveller at the sight of the heavenly beauty,
step by step, shout and sing.
touch the Sun, our bright light.
Your gaze embraces that lustrous paradise.
again, the beauty invites you back,
do you hear the ringing from afar, Ave?
The author of the song, Andrej, described the origin of the song using the following words: "Since we like to tell our listeners where we come from, I turned for inspiration to our Vintgar Gorge and the Radovna River. As a child, I frequented the deserted part of the left bank of the Radovna River in Spring to pick snowdrops, and already back then nature inspired me and embraced me with all the splendour of its beauty. When writing the lines those memories and feelings started to resurface. In the first two stanzas, I speak spontaneously about the overwhelming beauty of nature and landscape; whereas, in the third and fourth stanza I somehow try to inspire the "traveller" to discover the secrets of this earthly paradise by himself".
