For a moment there, I thought this tape contained a soap opera parody I'd never seen before. Turned out it was just an episode of "Guiding Light" (must've been going through a really weird period at the time). Anyway, there's a lotta great daytime "housewife" commercials here.
Also, there was about the first 30 seconds of the game show, "Tattletales" here before the tape ran out--just for the heck of it, I've left it in.
And, yes, I intentionally left in the Guiding Light theme as well. It was too gloriously weird to leave out.
This aired over Wichita, Kansas CBS affiliate KWCH MOSTLY on Thursday, January 19, 1984. The first block of ads probably dates to the same week (Monday through Wednesday). Since they came from the same station and from within a few days of the main content, I just added them in.

KWCH use to play that tune right after their 10 PM newscast. There was an alternate version with a saxophone playing in the song. Anyone knows what the name of the song is or what production company produced to song?

Thanks for posting this, Ben! Guiding Light was my grandmother's favorite soap, and I spent a lot of time with my grandparents during this time period. Many fond memories here.

Tom Bosley and Erin Moran (RIP) appeared on these two CBS programs around the time ABC (meanwhile) aired its final season of Happy Days during prime time.

I grew up with a CBS affiliate on Channel 12, but in another state. My mother and grandmother never watched soaps, just game shows. I definitely remember the ads!

I lived in McPherson, Kansas from 1979 to 1988. I remember KWCH channel 12, but of course I was in school when The Guiding Light was on. I remember alot of these ads on my 48" Mitsubishi Rear-Projection TV.

He was the curator of the Fun & Games Channel here on RU-vid. He died unexpectedly back in late 2019 and I wound up finishing the batch of tapes he was working on at the time. Was trying to give credit where credit is due.
