Kwena Molekwa joins us to discuss her work as an anti-illegal immigration activist in South Africa, the Miss South Africa controversy, EFF leader Julius Malema and issues with Nigerians in the country.
We are going through the most. In South Africa it is sinister. They want to mass incarcerate young men and feed young men with drugs. Nigerians and many other immigrants are in cahoots with the White Monopoly Capital to replace and displace the indigenous South Africans who have a claim of the land. We are too powerful to have them exploit as they wish. Immigrants undercut black South Africans and discount our political gains. When South Africa was conceptualized it was meant to be a white colony that has eliminated the indigenous people but our forefathers defeated that project. South Africa was supposed to be imagined like Canada, Australia and United States of America. Natives were supposed to have been eliminated. Fast forward, the 2.0 of assault on natives has begun using immigrants. We are on trouble. The posture of Nigerians for instance is to impregnate any willing generous womb to extend their seed whilst the youth is poisoned with drugs.
yet what about gupta brothers? the rich indians in SA. How does SA allow indians to come into their country and become rich? They wont focus on that dude but show xenophobe hate toward others africnan immigrants that dont have power in SA.

Indians came to SA in 1860 as slaves by British to work in the sugarcane fields, since the SAn natives were economically self sufficient and refused to subject themselves to employment by colonial farmers. By 1961,Indians were officially recognized as permanent part of SAn population. Many Indians played a very important role in the anti apartheid struggle. Yes, the Gupta family arrived in SA with bad intentions and SA decisively dealt with them.
Both are correct. Zimbabweans were put under harsh sanctions after Robert Mugabe did what he did but at the same time Robert Mugabe gave those lands to his elite friends instead of giving those lands to his larger population.

Thank you for highlighting the land question. There is a lot misinformation about land in South Africa. Even the lie about who owns the land. Majority of SA land is rural tribal land which is in the custodian of indigenous South Africans.
Phil what I thought she said was that the winner of the contest has denounced her heritage, and had taken on the South African one. The other young lady didn't denounce her heritage officially that was the conflict. The young woman wanted to represent being of Nigerian heritage not the South African one you can't have both and represent that country.

Based on how the host frames his questions and the issues which he felt are interesting to pose, one can tell that he's coming off condescending as if he's of the belief that the way they do things in America is to be the model for everyone. I think the real issue with South Africa is that you have a generation of people that were traumatised by Apartheid. They are still suffering from PTSD and resources need to be allotted to black South Africans to deal with their mental health, economic and housing crisis. When we start to take shots at other African nations that legally migrate to South Africa we have a real problem. We forget that nations such as Nigeria invested billions of dollars to support South Africa during apartheid and a long list of things. There’s one thing to oppose a whole nation but to be xenophobic in a country with a long history of racial discrimination it’s greatly disappointing.
