I can't help but notice that top three speakers all spoke in one way or another about acceptance, irrespective of any barrier.

@J You do realize that anyone can because a minority by movie to another country, even white people
@RanaSingh-lp4sb
@RanaSingh-lp4sb 4 года назад
@J Dang seems like you got nothing from watching the video... What he pointed out is in fact relevant. The theme behind the motto of "Judge less, help more" is being a good person, and acting towards others as you'd want to be treated. So if anyone could be a minority in another country- knowing that would increase one's likelihood of empathizing w/ & helping others. Furthermore, your pseudo-intellectual babble impresses no one. There are thousands like you, still trying to defend the status-quo... and for what? Acting like guard dogs for your corporate masters. Why do you point out things with such hubris? Other errors in your comments; English & European & white aren't used interchangeably. Most Europeans don't identify as "white", that's Americans & aussies. Same way Africans for continent, & black for those abroad. What's your pedigree?

Saw the top 3 finishers and liked this one the most, although I saw this one the first so may have been biased because of that. Mic issues notwithstanding, though, I found this talk the most interesting, the speaker the most engaging, and the conclusion the most satisfying. Was a bit disappointed when I saw the top two finishers afterwards as I was expecting something at least as impressive. Good job Kwong-o!

@@kwongyueyang I really feel a little bit boring with these kind of story like "pollution/noodles/fortunate cookie (there is no such thing in China)". I don't know your parents background, but I totally understand your parents generation moved out mainland China/Hong Kong/ or other places because of the poverty and isolation of China by western countries, and also that's the reason they didn't want you to learn to speak Mandarin, but now, which turns out to be a huge mistake, right? I feel his other speeches like the fortune cookie and four words are better than this one. I don’t find the humor that funny on this speech and it seems to bore me out a bit with the long boring setting of being on the plane with a lot of self-thoughts throughout rather than progressing the story (there really isn’t much of a story... if it progress faster, this speech will be like 4min long). I like creativity and crafting new speeches, but it is sad that the Indian guy who won 2 years ago just re-used his old speech and won... so may want to just reuse your old speech next time if you can’t come up with a better one.

I can not believe people actually fall for this stuff almost cult of personality. I worked in marketing for 30 plus years I have heard hundreds of speeches and lectures. I have learned words are only words, virtually anyone with an IQ over 90 can prepare to deliver a knock out speech, it is called mimicking, however a person who mimics with an approx IQ of 90 is a poor critical thinker. Everyone has something to say I am not interested. People must be easily impressed with a polished scripted speech, I think we are in trouble if we place this much value in a speech.
