This is some detail video of the VHM Cylinder head for the Kawasaki KX112. Purchased in USA from Langston Racing. While not advertised for the KX112, the Kawasaki part numbers for the KX100 and KX112 are identical (11001-0774). You can order different dome inserts for this head. For mine, I have the SX insert, which is slightly higher compression than stock, for more low end power. You can also get a lower compression insert for more over-rev, or stock compression insert. Increases cooling capacity, and looks awesome! The VHM part number for the KX100 head is: AA33151-1.
On the Langston Racing web site its advertised as: VHM 2014-2020 KAWASAKI KX100 CYLINDER HEAD AND INSERT.
Build quality on this product is superior to the stock head by far. It was extremely easy to install and fit perfectly.

We run apex technical innovation heads with the drop in inserts. Best mod ever! Almost we vmh with my sons but i run apex on my yz250 for about a year. So i figure go with what you know. Now his kx pr2 112cc motor just runs the pr2 turned down head. Cool build hope you bought both inserts for the head. Have a good one 👍

I raced professional motocross in the 80’s before the big bucks. I was sponsored by Team Suzuki. Anyway, 2 strokes compression is made in the crankcase. The new head is beautiful but probably will not make any performance gains. Race bikes are so evenly matched horsepower/weight wise from each manufacturer. The rider makes the difference. Going down the straight away, horsepower wins. Better riders catch up in the Twisties. Engine mods are the most expensive mods with small horsepower gains vs what comes out of the factoru on race bikes. Lightening the bike helps in the acceleration, braking and handling. Surprised we do not see more carbon fiber frames at least in the professional sector. Even making the engine part of stressed member of the frame would help similar to high performance street bikes. KTM makes the best bikes from the factory with no mods needed. When Kawasaki made the 100 cc 2 stroke it was because of the increased unsprung weight of the 19/16 wheels. Plus more rotating mass. Truthfully the 100 cc was not enough, hence the 112 like Yamaha. I would of gone with a stock 125 like a YZ 125 or 250. Just sayin

Did you move to higher octane race fuel? I had Pro Circuit cut my YZ85 head for 108 octane VP C12, and boy, what a huge power increase!

@GOATbro_Australia Месяц назад
@chestertownelectric6290 no, the change in domes was more about squish band, and very slight bump in compression. Runs very good on pump gas.

You can’t just use a razor blade to cut the grip off of the throttle assembly?

Does it add extra power , with the standard insert?

I don't have the standard insert, so I can't say, but assume it would not.

So the vhm cylinder head is a 85 cylinder head but it fits on a 112?

The kx100 and kx112 use the same head. Same Kawasaki part number: 11001-0774 is used for both the KX100 and KX112. The VHM part number for the KX100 head is: AA33151-1 The VHM head fits my 112 perfectly.

Do you have to do any carb tuning for these mods ? What did you do to your carb
@GOATbro_Australia
@GOATbro_Australia 2 года назад
I jetted the carb according to owners manual for my typical temp and altitude range. Which meant one smaller on the main jet and airscrew out to 2 1/4 turns. Runs super clean.

Which P/N insert did you use with that head?
@GOATbro_Australia

SX insert. Higher compression

@@GOATbro_Australia which P/N though? I picked one up from Langston as you said you did with the SX insert as well which is the 240B-001 insert. I was curious if that is the same one you used or if you got something different.

I'm trying to figure out if that insert will work for the KX112. VHM website says it's for KX100. The KX112 inserts are a slightly bigger combustion chamber.
