I dont think winning a battle rap is the end all begin all this man (canibus) done been to hell and back and there are ppl who still want to listen to his music. I see what you’re saying, his flow seems subdued but still potent. I think it comes with maturity. If you notice Jay z flow changed from reasonable doubt to blueprint and Nas changed from illmatic to Stillmatic. The flows go from rata tat tat to shotgun blasts. They’ve mastered getting the point across using less words, it’s amazing, I love Hip Hop bro.
