Thanks for the video. This is one of many games I played the beginning, was somewhat interested but never went back to. I loathe boss fights so no way I’d go back to this. Interested in your take on other off-brand platformers.
"Kya identity is defined by what it should have been, and not what it is" Completely agree. This game had a lot of potential and very good ideas but poorly executed or with a huge lack of polish and too many flaws. So it's like ok but feel bland. I still however take a lot of fun playing it personally, but I understand your point of view. But imo your videos are kinda the same (i doesn't watched your others videos) it's in fact good but kinda weird sometimes ; Very disorganized, like you begin to talk about the beginning of the game, then you jump into the end, then you go back to a previous point of the scenario, you don't proceed step by step that's kinda weird And finally i think there is kinda a lack of dynamism (not even a single music behind your voice uh) You deserve more views imo
Hey, thanks! I generally don't intend to dissuade people from playing the games I make videos about, rather to encourage them to give something that has been looked over a chance. I mostly pick the games randomly so usually I have no idea what to expect going in, which I understand can leave those familiar with the games a bit disappointed in my opinions if they grew up with the game. I'm not entirely sure how my videos are disorganised. I don't typically follow the game's narrative within the video so if the game looks interesting a viewer won't have too much spoiled if they haven't played it. I prefer to move through the different pieces of the game and comment on those. One section is about level design, the next is about the visuals of the levels etc. I guess I should use the timeline section tool to make the segments more clearly defined for someone who would like that. I'll go through my scripts and do that :) This video had some strange issues with the game audio that were so bad I thought it better to remove it entirely. Usually, I leave the game's audio in the background since I don't have theme music or whatever haha Thanks again! I appreciate the feedback and will make sure to make the sections easier to follow in the future. And if I can make them less samey somehow, I'll try some new things
Eyelids??? You mean eyebrows right? Now that you pointed it out...how the hell does the eyebrow hair point up because you wrapped it up with a hair band.
Thanks for the review. I actually have a love/hate relationship with this game. I bought it on clearance and I loved the visuals and even the fighting, but the gameplay drove me nuts to no end! If a wolfen fell off a cliff it couldn't count as a healed native. Some of those board-sliding sequences required Jedi reflexes (though not as badly as Battletoads). I wholeheartedly agree with you regarding that part of the game where the village was attacked. I had to replay that part so many times trying to destroy every cannon only to figure out eventually that I had to climb the cannon doors. Beyond all this, supposedly you have to heal every native in the game to get the "secret" ending. A bug allows you to achieve this ending without healing all the natives. I know this because I actually 100%ed the game hoping for some extra sequence and didn't get it. I would like some company to buy this game and rework it and re-release an improved version.
