Omg I met this girl (Kya Loum) this week in a bar (So Beach) in Dakar, Sénégal she was singing with her husband. I didn't know that it was her, didn't recognize her. Now I watch this video I realize that in fact I met Kya Loum lool.
Joss, you are such a humble and pleasant person. The way you communicate with everyone makes them feel special and important , you are such a gift for our Mama Earth!
The high note at 4:58 takes this song past the physical realm and into the heavens. It awakes something beautiful, feminine, pure and eternal in both of the women and literally is recorded magic. The power of music is that it immediately hits your soul in these rare moments. It is beauty in its purest and most immediate form.
I toook long to read this comment.. well said. Am from Uganda and i play this song every sunday and make sure my neighbours get the affection and indeed the ask who is singing!
Ohhhhh what in awesome idea to travel around Africa to sing with every country a song. Africa is the most magical place on this planet. Nowhere is like Africa 🙌🏻
This is Salwa, i am 6 years old. I love your songs. I specially invite you to Hunza valley, in Pakistan. I ll sing a song for you with my mama. I love to play guitar and would attend classes very soon. Bye and take care from Salwa
Wow you live in such a place that makes the settlers look like immortals from an outsider, average live expectancy is like 100,105 years,i definitely wanna see your hometown one day
I've been watching all the collaborations since the first upload some months ago... I have to say that is an AMAZING project, presenting us many different cultures and musical expressions! Thank you Joss
As an African and a music advocate, I have to say that this song is amazing and Joss thank you for shining a light on otherwise unknown African Queens, you're an amazing soul..
WOW!!! What a perfect beautiful peaceful day and time to watch two beautiful shining bright suns who is pulling me in closer and closer. Gorgeous I will do what you requested straight away THANK YOU ALL JOSS STONE
My husband is from Dakar and I love african music very much but this is by far the most beautiful song I ever heard. Thank you so much for this incredible song 💝🇸🇳💝
I love it when people connect and bring their light into the world 🌎 what a great collaboration - really compliment each other well. I've just stumbled across this project and kudos to Joss and her team. Magnificent effort :-) bless
😂 you've get it Ladies, meeting others makes you Richer. We have so much in common, this is the point. Your initiative brings joy to my heart and Soul. We Will not be torn appart.
i wonder if you ever tried playing an instrument, i try to play guitar since 28 years, each of my silly efforts sounds like anarchy in uk, both guitars fill each other so nicely and precisely
I actually play. I taught myself with the help of youtube. LOL. Ive only been playing for 3 years on and off. But they both sound beautiful. Plus the voices just add to the guitar playing
Shes unbelievable.her voice is amazing and her harmonies with Joss are on a rarely heard level.flawless african diamond she has shared with the world.grateful to have heard Kya
Hopefully Joss going to visit all the countries of the world as it is fantastic idea and great journey for her. Heard few songs of her in 00s, then knew that such singer exists but now her talent and smile struck me and I am totally enjoying that journey proving that language of music is universal - you do not have to understand lyrics as when it's good music with emotions you'll understand it no matter if the language is Quechua, Swahili or Macedonian. Please visit Croatia and try to get Josipa Lisac or Tamara Obrovac :) And thank you for that magical song to Kya as well :) Merci beacoup Madame Loum :)
I love beautiful Joss and her wonderful friends around the world. It is great to see them creating beautiful magical music and making the world a better place. It is especially great to see them in countries with no American Liberal Women.
Kya ... i wish to be you ... your smile and soul makes me cry .. and also this senegalese sad guitar notes ... and your voice .. i can't even express what i feel .. so i can only cry .. this song touches me so deeply, and your face
Isso foi tão real e forte. Simples e lindo. Em um mundo de guerra tira-se a paz, vende-se o odio e lucra-se com o medo. Poderia-mos viver com simplicidade e beleza, conforme essa canção.
I love the way Josh Stone has no fear of stepping out of her comfort zone and challenges herself in varied musical genres. How many singers today box themselves in and are content to sing the same songs for the rest of their lives. Thanks Josh!
Wow, this song is making cry with tears and feelings that come from another place & time. I know these words, these chords, this place. This is touching me. Thank you.
I have always really enjoyed Joss Stones voice ever since she hit the music scene. There is such richness, power and emotion conveyed. Recently I have started listening to a lot of her collaborations and every single one is stunning. There is a lot more behind that voice, a genuine love of music and a very kind honest kind heart. This song written by Kya Loum is beautiful. I love it. I want to hear more.
Streaming all day in the coronovirus pandemic. What better way to bring our world together than Joss Stone's World Tour? #WeAreInThisTogether. #Gratitude
Feel like I’ve just had an emotional baptism. Always loved West African Music. But Joss, you and Kya really really did something unique. Created hope out of sound! 💜
OMG ! Magic magic. This white dude strumming African tune like it aint a thing. How long did he have to practice? Genius. Kya babe I love you lords an epitome of the African spirit. God has to lift you and put you in a place where you touch the souls of the planet. Joss you are a God sent angel. Thank you so much tears of joy on my cheeks and amazed that this magic is just a drop in the ocean of our amazing planet and it's people and cultures .
They create an atmosphere so tense and true that you feel like you could even touch it, music is possessing them and coming out through the screen!!! Joss is so special, She was in Ethiopia and I really loved her concert (there's a video with Zeritu)
