ℹ️ About the Episode: Getting ready to hit the road is fun-at least, for us. We enjoy the process of deciding what to bring and what to leave behind based on our route and planned activities. It seems that we bring fewer things each year. Like anything, simplicity is appreciated more with experience.
We also enjoy being forced to "reset" our lives by turning our home into a vacation rental AKA the KYD Cabin. It's so much work, but by the time we're finished each year, we're grateful that we were forced to make tough decisions about what stays in the cabin, what goes into the shed, and what goes to Goodwill. That process would not happen without this lifestyle. We have a big route planned for this year! We'll cross the country at least twice. First, we'll head east with the new Airstream and spend a bit of time in Florida when Caleb gets out of school. Then it's back to the west for more family events, plus some epic adventures along the coast.
