If you watch to the end, we share our thoughts on what's next. We think it's time to give a motorized RV a shot. Maybe a Super C or Class A. Something to tow the Jeep when we take off fulltime again in late spring/early summer. We needed more time to buy a motorized RV because we'll likely buy used to offset depreciation and wanted to stay close to home during winter to be with family. Outdoor Ginger is the perfect rig for right now and we're excited to share more camping ⛺️and National Parks 🏜-Marc & Trish

This is great. Your going to love small off road camping. Wife and i have been doing it for a few years and love going out into the Australian outback. No city people for miles and miles. They can't get there big caravans where we go. I am sure going to enjoy watching you all this season. Wife and I have a huge outback trip planned for next winter as well.

This is great! I love the little tear drop. We were tent camping last summer, and bought our first little RV in October. You will love cooking on the open fire and going small. I was a "pro tenter". I had every thing we needed in 3 totes, other than the food. I learned how to cook on those big firepits and not burn myself or the food. Now I am learning what I need in the "Autumn Ridge". It's just my and hubby. We are loving our new camping life. Thanks for all the fun!! Can't wait to see where Trish puts the Command Strips :)

Our family is so excited for season 8. We recently purchased a roof top tent for our Tundra and we absolutely love it. It sleep us and our two children perfectly. What we really love about the RTT is that we can go anywhere and open our tent. It's fast, simple, and your ready to enjoy camping within minutes. We are big fans of KYD and watch your episode each and every week!

I have been binge watching your You tube channel for the last month. Laughing and crying along the way. This episode hit home for me. I remember camping with my small children years ago singing the song "I love camping, I love camping, I love camping...." because I knew I wanted my family to experience the joy of camping even though it was so much work. Now my husband & I enjoy a travel trailer where I sing the song but not because it's so much work.

Love you guys!! That was a bit ... BIT of a surprise with the teardrop, the wife and I looked at the Littleguy tear drops to with one of our collector vehicles! But in the end we didn’t buy one. But as a Class A owner and a fellow Jeep owner 👋 we really love our 31 footer, it’s small enough to go in any park and the Jeep is perfect for snooping around, plus the RV has all the amenities that we want, nothing crazy, and we have been down gravel roads with her and done a little off roading ...... I mean driving across a lawn!! LOL but that’s what the Jeep is for !! This looks to be an exciting season!!! So happy for you guys!! One of these days we will get to your neck of the woods!!!

Right?? I feel terrible saying this but I was rubbing my hands with a sick sort of glee when I saw the trailer. We camp with 5 kids in a pop up trailer so I can already see what's going to be tough. Rainy days, RV Park showers, going from 30° to 80° inside the trailer in a single day. It all ought to make for an amusing season.

I thought that too, Luc! If it were me I'd invest in a shade/water runoff/bug tent for rainy days or days of intense sun or days were the gnats/flies/mosquitos are just swarming! Gives them a "living space" outdoors, increases their living "rooms".

In our pop up trailer we even have a couch and a dinette area, but it's still cramped and boring when it rains so we've just learned to take canopies and ponchos and enjoy the rain. And temperature shifts are brutal. At night it's freezing but when the sun comes up a little space like that gets hot fast. I think they're smart to do that during the winter. We had an AC installed in our pop-up, but it can only be run on the genny or shore power so it's not really useful most of the time.

Last year I towed my Jeep behind a 25 foot class C 9,000 miles and about 3 months from my home in Utah all through Alaska. GREAT way to see Alaska. I sold the class C and now have a toy hauler and a truck, with a side by side UTV. Another very nice way to travel. For many years now we have enjoyed a lot of different rigs and I also have a similar set up to your new toy. I love them all for different reasons but I think the smaller the better. You can get into places you could not even think about with your 43 footer. As you already know there are compromises to small but personally, I think they are worth it. I am fortunate enough to have a great wife of almost 30 years who is willing to compromise regularly when it comes to camping. I hope you will enjoy your new mini camper as much as we have enjoyed ours. Happy trails...

Wow, would never have guessed a teardrop. Props for the bold move! And my .02 cents for the next rig: Diesel class A towing the Jeep. Living on the road one needs some degree of comfort (toilet and shower). The class A serves as home base regardless of where you are. You can adventure out and explore with the Jeep.

I love that you are camping. Trish I just laughed at all the trader Joe bags, then watching you cook outside. Yes, it sure can be complicated, after rving...hands down tent camping is the best, not the most comfortable, or convenient. But you can go anywhere. This is going to be my favorite season. Teresa Guzman Coleman makes a fantastic mosquito tent set up. It takes about 5 minutes and one person can set it up and take it down, makes gazing at the views pleasant without the flys and mosquitos ~ plenty of room for fold up chairs and a table ~ makes for a great living space in the wilderness 🏜

OMGoodness how very special, and what a huge learning curve aswell. So pleased to be doing this with you. We live in Australia and we are currently getting a 17ft off roader signal axel camper (caravan) and this is because of KYD . Thank you for all your inspiration, - our experience will be very much "camping" and as my husband surfs we will be doing a lot of beach trips. We have planned to take off for 12months beginning April but to be totally honest if we can go longer that would be a dream come true. Looking forward to your adventure and learning from you. You all are so fun, the experience is great. I started in a tent as a kid with my parents, the pop up than the champion motor home. We traveled out west from Michigan every summer. Colorado was my favorite, I now live in Arizona and want to camp again. Grandma with 4 grandson's and 4 dogs, but I need a bed, no tent for me. Lol, the teardrop is cute. Before moving to Arizona I had a 1964 Yellowstone loved it. I wish I could have brought it with me. Perfect size even for just me and my girls to go traveling. Enjoy your travels.

Can’t wait to see how this season plays out! Thanks for being so adventurous and showcasing all sorts of different camping and glam ping setups! We tent camped with our kids on summer weekends for the last 20 yrs. We just bought our first 20 ft travel trailer this past summer and absolutely love it! We plan to camp even more and extend our season now. Have fun!

If anyone I follow I only dreamed it could be either Joe, and Kait R., or your beautiful family to showcase the back country expeditionary lifestyle. Wow...I didn’t see that coming ! Didn’t think I would be a fan of this type of camping...living...I’ll be very interested as I’ve never camped before . Living and traveling in an RV I can see myself doing . Watching you do the fifth wheel deal made me want to go out and get one and chuck my house and lifestyle. I love you guys and your attitudes. Having such a beautiful wife ( inside n out ) and great kids makes you one lucky guy ! Caleb sitting in the back seat mugging you guys as you talk cracks me up. He’s got a great spirit ! Rock on !
