I don't understand why it hasn't reached millions of views so far. 1h of masterclass, with the artist sharing genuinely his creative process and making the magic happens live !❤
It was thanks to Kygo that I started producing back in 2018, his music is very different now but I really appreciate when I can see him breaking down a song :)
It's really cool and kind of wholesome, seeing him in his fancy studio with the same M-audio midi controller as he was using to make his first ever songs with!
Absolutely amazing! Kygo's style of production is literally what I go for for my own music if I'm not producing for others! Excellent and open session right there
Been using Logic since I started producing 7 years ago and Kygo is one of my biggest inspirations, so this is awesome to see his process. Thanks for sharing!
Something you can do in Logic is create a track stack with the instruments and use the "Transposer" midi effect on each instrument channel to shift the octave up or down. That way you can use one just midi track to control all the instruments at once and you can try out different melodies without having to copy the midi to each instrument, every time you make a change. Finally when you are happy, everything is already setup so you can just collapse the track stack and not have 5 or six instrument tracks taking up screen space.
I love Tropical House and Kygo is my biggest inspiration in this genre. It was really nice to see you explain your process. Wish I'll be able to make music as chill and dreamy as you one day !
I love that it still shows him messing up. He’s been doing this for however long, and he still messes up. Forgets to quantize something, for example. There’s so much fake perfection shown in music.
Kygo was great during soundcloud times. But still proud of him sticking to his style unlike matoma that went completely rogue. Rarely he releases like the vibe what we really wanted but 90% of the time is industry generic music
Nice ... It's counterintuitive to throw all that stuff into mix, but if it works it works. That's why your songs you can call art many times not just industry "product" for 14 days use. :))
The way Kygo is using buses is the same function as summing! The only difference is that you dont "physically" Get a folder in your project! That way you can have all your tracks loose in the project! I always use summing myself tho…. But this is probably the way he likes to work! I think he started to use Logic before summing stacks was a thing actually🤷🏼♂️
"Producing massive drops with kygo" there is nothing massive about a kygo drop though. Don't get me wrong I think his music is great but his drops are not massive in any way whatsoever
