I don't think you're hating on Kyle or the Plugin. You're being honest and saving people like me a lot of time and money on a sub par Plugin. You also went thru and tried to show the Plugin despite all the issues you encountered which I definitely respect. Not all plugins can be gems but this video sure is!
If you go the $10 / month route - and like all those small payments you end up forgetting about - 4 years later you realise that plugin you stopped using 3 weeks after you got it has cost you $480 . . . nope, nah, no, no, nope.

By the time I got to the 2 minute and 25 second mark, I had two thoughts running in my mind. First, one being I bought a Unison cord pack and felt like I got snookered thank God I didn't buy their drum monkey, maybe this product could join up with unison. My second thought is there ever a chance you and Weaver beats could get together and do some type of review or collab. I'm a big fan of both of yours.

The installation of a plug-in is so crucial, as it's the first interaction of sorts you have as a customer. A lot of companies don't do it right, but this is probably one of the worst I've seen. I also don't get building a plug-in that's this CPU-hungry, as it'd eliminate a lot of customers who don't have top of the line updated computers.
There's no way this plugin was properly beta tested, I've been beta testing Audio software for around 15 years as a hobby ( for both proprietary and open source teams ) and these bugs ( weaver has pointed out a few too ) would be fixed early in the testing. The CPU spikes when the plugin is sitting idle are not a good indication either. I understand that the nature of this plugin will make it quite CPU intensive, but IMO there is a lot of room for optimizing it. It would be interesting to know what libs were used for compiling it as some of the problems could lay in the toolkit/libs used .
@@randomchannel323 Good point. I think most DAWs don't even recommend that much RAM. I noticed 1 guy on YT was having a load of crashes and he showed the FLS crash data, looks like it may be a graphics issue within Sandbox causing crashes.
Harrison Mixbus, the paid version of the amazing Ardour DAW, says it requires 2Gb Ram and a minimum duo core processor. For an entire DAW. This Kyle Beats thing is bloody terrible.
We need to tell DAW developers to disable or ban these type of plugins. They're becoming the clout influencer version of VSTs that will slow down my workflow.

Kyle paid shitty devs a low amount of money to get this done .. he desveres it in reality this plugin didn't cost more then 5g to develop at 77 dollars a year with 1000 sales that a huge profit that's pretty easy for Kyle I bet u he's getting atleast 10k sales in a few months that's 770,000 dollars he's making bank off of nonthing he desvere hate this is almost as bad as unison Kyle needs to learn how to do it himself or just don't be cheap .. Kyle is lazy if he spent a year learning coding he'd be able to do this on his own but no .. that's to hard but learning music production wasn't for some reason fuck Kyle he cheaped out he didn't get ripped off he bought a dollar store product

@@dmtracing56 yeah just like with any company especially when dealing with tech (which I guess you can put VSTs into that cat) you gotta have R&D for alpha testing. However, I guess he thought the producers he had in his plugin showcase video were enough to sign off on the Q&A.
This is the third review for Sandbox that I have seen, the others had a very similar experience to you. The *only* reason I'd want to pick this up is just to see how poorly it runs on my own system but without there being a demo version I'm not gonna deal with even paying for a month and refunding that.
Damn Ave , I subscribed to get sandbox . This thing is a sand trap . I have a asus strix rog se 3,799 dollars laptop that never crashed but sandbox had my daw clicking and popping. It’s sad when you want to support people and find out they didn’t take time and effort in their products they sell you .

I mean if you need a plugin to write chords, you are probably better off buying some piano lessons instead of a crappy plugin. Why do people think they can just skip the being a musician part and start to "produce" with midi chord packs, loops, etc?

i cancelled my subscription yesterday horrible plugin to many issues and crashes alot .. But what i do enjoy is your mpc live masterclass amazing job i highly recommend its definitely worth the price
Actually just in case you ever encounter it again. FL Studio not loading often happens because another FL process is still running, you can simply open task manager, end the process and it should open instantly. I have it happen with other plugins that slurp CPU usage

Slate digitals all access pass is 10 bucks a month, and it comes with every plugin they have, including Ana 2 which is an amazing plugin which also has a chord generator in it, as well as a bunch of really good sample packs and great audio production courses. 10 bucks a month for a single synth plugin is kinda crazy.

Kyle takes himself way too seriously. If he does address this, he will shift all blame on to the developers. He is just as much to blame as them. Not too different from influencer crypto scams
Man this review killed me with laughter, thanks for the honest review. Just don't flex too much about that cpu in your laptop though, while it's not slow its about on par with my 4820k from 2013. Def way faster CPUs available. That all being said the cpu use on this plugin is horrendous. In his promo video he goes on about this taking "years" to develop.... Uh yeah sure
There's a vst called Chordz that is free. It generates MIDI chords with one key press. It can be linked to any instrument. They also have one for scales that's also free.

You could tell from Kyle's release video that it was bad just from the poor quality of the synth sounds. Should have put all focus on simplicity, ease of use options, low cpu performance and good quality sounds with a compact but inspirational preset library that immediately engages the user and motivates them to write a song...
My bro! Please check the “scorch” plug-in by sauceware audio, I bought it like a year ago and I need to know a second opinion😭 Sounds cool, and it’s similar to sandbox but definitely impossible to add drums or try to mix it!
This is the best plugin I've ever seen. If I can pay $6 every day for it I would! Just kidding! So glad for your channel so we know what we should avoid. Scaler 2 is awesome. Can also recommend Captain Plugins Epic.
