My biggest pet peeve is parents who don’t bother to research their child’s mental/behavioral disorders. I’ve suffered from chronic depression since I was 13 and my mother never bothered doing any research, not even when I gave her material to read. Instead, she chose to keep her normal parenting course which was somewhat contributing to my depression. It’s so important to learn and understand early to make the lifestyle and mindset changes necessary for the family to be on the same emotional page.

I think she meant that the struggles don't get easier if you don't address them, and wasn't really talking about adhd itself but the aggression and behavioral issues and how they affect the kid? ADHD doesn't go away, but they can help Kyle deal with it better.

The dad said he was getting angry because his son was testing him but he doesn’t realize that his sons condition is causing his behavior and until it’s understood by the parents and teachers this child will not get any better.
