The High Limit Sprint Car Series was in full go-mode Tuesday night at Wayne County Speedway in Orrville, Ohio where Kyle Larson, in Paul Silva's No. 57 Finley Farms-Folkens Bros. Trucking Chevy Sprinter, swept the program with Quick Time in qualifying, winning his Heat and taking the 35-lap feature event as the victor. Interviews include Kyle Larson, Daytona 500 winner Ricky Stenhouse, Jr. and Jac Haudenschild. Join me, the History Mystery Man, for another unique inside view of Wayne County Speedway from the inside-out where more than 50 winged warriors entertained an enthusiastic sold-out crowd in east-central Ohio. Enjoy the show, and thanks for your support! #HistoryMysteryMan #KyleLarson #RickyStenhouse #JacHaudenschild #WayneCountySpeedway #OrrvilleOhio #HighLimitSprintCarSeries

While I am a big fan of Kyle Larson and glad to see his career wasn’t ended prematurely when they tried to cancel him…… I do have to say I feel like the accomplishments of Max Verstappen over the last few years are incomparable. Larson didn’t even win the championship this year. Max has dominated in every ride he’s been in all while making practically zero mistakes

I enjoy all of your "off-season" content, but my heart starts beating a little faster when the racing season starts. Kyle Larson is a first-class gentleman at the race track with his willingness to take time with his fans (as well as with the HMM). He knows you from previous interviews and is aware that you are well-versed in what is happening in the racing world. He never gives the appearance that he is trying to rush you and your questions. Of course, he also knows that you won't take an excessive amount of his valuable time.
@HistoryMysteryMan
@HistoryMysteryMan Год назад
Love your evaluation! You nailed it on Larson. He's been so gracious with me, and I couldn't be more grateful. It's nerve-wracking to ask him because he's got so many people wanting his attention. He's been amazing with me...and has never turned me down for an interview. If you haven't noticed, I make no attempt to hide the fact that I'm a huge fan. And yes, I do try and be conscious of his time, which is why I get there so early...to get in and out before he gets super busy. Thanks again...I appreciate you! HMM

Hey Don. I couldn't make this race. I was so disappointed. But at least you took me there via your video! Dusty race. Can't believe how Brian Brown moved up 21 spots in the A-Main....in that dust. An incredible drive by Black Jack. Yes Kyle is good. OK really, really good. But the verdict is still out in my mind with Kyle. To be considered with AJ and Mario, he needs to prove with consistent solid results in open wheel cars....and not just a race or two. It'll start next year at Indy with Kyle. Will be super interesting to say the least. I can't wait. Well I'm off to Atomic tomorrow night for Night 2 with the WOO sprints. Hope you are doing well and enjoying our great string of weather.
@HistoryMysteryMan
@HistoryMysteryMan Год назад
Understood Chuck. I believe Kyle will prove to the best of his generation; in my mind, he already is. Jumping to Indy Car is going to be a huge step for him, especially because he doesn't ever do it, like AJ and Mario regularly did. I was considering going to Atomic, but I may opt for the Little 500...never been. Thanks again...HMM

@@HistoryMysteryMan Kyle without question is the best active dirt track driver. Absolutely no question! And in my mind, that covers sprints and even late models. I'm still wrestling if he is the best dirt tracker ever. But after watching your Sammy series, the subject gives me a headache to come up with the best ever. Sammy sure performed great over a long period of time....both as a driver , mechanic, crew chief, and team manager. And that guy named Steve. Possibly tossing a coin will be the best way to determine things.
@HistoryMysteryMan
@HistoryMysteryMan Год назад
@@chuckg6039 I would say that Kyle is the best all-around driver who can win in anything he gets in at the highest levels of any series. Like Bowyer said...if you put him in the Kentucky Derby, he'll win that too.

A legend at such a young age. If it has wheels he can drive it. Much respect to whoever sets the cars up for him that he drives on the dirt tracks. He has good people around him. I mean who wouldn't want Kyle to drive their car to victory. He always seems cool, calm and collective no matter what car, what track and what surface. There has to be night and day differences between the dirt cars and the heavy Nascar. One you turn right and the other you turn left but he adapts quite well.

It's kind of ironic that Jeff Gordon and Rick Hendrik help set up Larson's INDY 500 run, yet all the years Gordon wanted to do it, it never happened. Larson is nearly a one-off driver, but I consider Gordon in his best years, just as good.

As an ex-corporate Racing director, most drivers contracts restricted or banned Racin in series other than NASCAR. Ironically Jack drove for a team “we” sponsored in the WOO. When sponsors could afford to sponsor the entire car, except for 1 associate, the companies wanted to protect their investment in the drivers. Seems like Tony Stewart started the multiple series racing. Pros and cons and team owners can pay less if the driver isn’t exclusive

Greatest driver in America today? Nobody's doing what he is doing???? Ummm Kyle Busch HELLOOOO. Dude has been racing and winning Late Models, Super Late Models, Modified, Sprints, No Wings, and Micro Sprints for 20 years now... He races Trucks, Xfinity, Cup and has multiple Championships in Cup and has a Championship in Xfinity and literally has the most Wins in all of NASCAR history. Not to mention Busch has raced in other series like SRX, ARCA, K&N PRO SERIES, NASCAR ROLEX GRAND-AM, WEATHERTECH SPORTSCAR. Kyle Larson is good but he is NOT the greatest American driver right now. Kyle Busch is hands down. The dude can drive anything and win. KB is #1. And let's not forget Smoke Tony Stewart either. Smoke has won in everything from Dirt, NASCAR, Indycar and now is currently racing and winning Top Alcohol Drag races. If he was racing NASCAR still id put him #1. Kyle Larson has a long ways to go to be #1 in America. And nowhere near the best driver in the World.
