“What else has she done?” Well….. she’s the only woman to ever have a number 1 album in each of the last 5 decades (80s, 90s, 00s, 10s and 20s) in the U.K. she has a huge back catalogue; there’s pop Kylie, indie Kylie, dance Kylie, disco Kylie… the list goes on! There should be something that you’ll like from her with all the material she’s released.

Kylie's shows are an event - she is fabulous on stage and the visuals of her concerts are stunning. She may not be the strongest or technically perfect vocalist like some of our other Aussie artists, but she has been in the industry since she was around 8 or 9 yrs old (She's 53 now). Like Olivia NJ and Delta, Kylie also had her own battle with breast cancer which she has survived since 2005. Her catalogue is enormous and she's performed with countless international stars - her 'Kids' with Robbie Williams is one of my favourites. Kylie was once the gf of Michael Hutchence from INXS - her music changed a little during that period - which was good as her previous music was basically straight pop so we saw her mature a little. (she originally was with Stock Aitken and Waterman who were responsible for spewing out pop songs for artists like Rick Astley - all very catchy and charting tracks...but not so musically technical and didn't show the artists depth of ability)

(The song she's performing to here is a mashup of Cant Get You Out of My Head with New Order's "Blue Monday") Mashups had been around only a few months prior to this performance but were just an underground club scene thing. Mashups weren't an idea that was widely known to people outside DJs and the clubbing scene. After this BRITS gig mashups became a massive trend after Kylie was the first to take them mainstream.

In Australia Her Little Sister Dannii was a Household Name long before anybody had even heard of Kylie. Dannii started on Young Talent Time (YTT), performing alongside Tina Arena for a few years. She even got into Fashion Design long before Kylie started Hers. Unfortunately I currently don't have a way of paying for things online but I have a couple of requests. An Iconic Aussie TV moment is when both Dannii and Kylie Minogue sang a cover of "Sisters Are Doing It For Themselves" on YTT. Her sister, Danni, was also on a tv show similar to The Mickey Mouse club called 'Young Talent Time'. (As was Tina Arena) Kylie appeared on a live version of Young Talent Time with Danni singing 'Sisters Doing It for Themselves' and she also met one of Aussie Music's GREATEST contributors, Ian 'Molly' Meldrum while filming Neighbors who encouraged and helped Kylie release her first song 'The Locomotion'. She spent a few years with a 'pop machine' called Stock Aikten Waterman when she released some pretty cool songs but this song you played was honestly the sexiest and most confident that I ever saw her. She changed and became 'sexier' after dating the lead singer of INXS, Michael Hutchence' She's also been in a few movies but the Delinquents was her best acting role outside of Neighbors.
